this fairytale thing has really got my goat I must admit! I just can't believe that....I'm glad I didn't read the article! I'm happy enjoying princesses no matter what anyone says! But, I have to say that I do enjoy the more feisty princesses! Like Rapunzel and Tiana and Belle! If we can keep those types of strong female characters than I'll be happy

I don't mind fiesty princesses but there should still be princesses period! How can Disney not have princess movies? Hmph!

So my weekend was okay. We had cookie day at my Mother's house like we do every year but it was not enjoyable this year. It turned into when is Leslie going to have a baby day. Ugh. Everyone needs to leave me alone!

Stranded at my mum's house. We are having a NASTY snowstorm here and I had to abandon my car near here on the way to work this morning! Take a look at my weather forecast!:

Looks like it is Stace! We're looking t almose as bad... and I'm SOUTH of the Lake Effect!! Makes me glad I don't live in Cleveland OH anymore lol!!

My current temp is -6C (21F) and calling for 12 inches (30cm) snow by tomarrow..... blech!

My kids were dismissed early fromschool due to the weather (most of the schools were cancelled this am... though I don't think that was really necessary!!) I'm sad... it was my 1st day to have the house to myself in 6 months!!!

Oh Paula take care out there! Our city is at a complete standstill! ALL schools in the city are closed (we have 2 universities, 3 colleges and all the elementary and highschools), the malls closed, busses have stopped running, no postal service or garbage pickup is stopped. City hall closed, most cab companies are closed. Everything is closed! So far we've gotten about 50cm and are expecting another 30cm by morning. I have no idea how many inches that is but I know it's over 2 feet! It's half of my height!! And it's just hovering over us because we're right in the middle of all the great lakes! The city has about 70 plows out right now but the highways and some streets are still closed. Iwas one of 8 people who couldn't get in to work and apparently some of our staff is stranded there now because there are no busses or cabs! It's bad bad news! Watch out for this storm, it's a doozy!

Stay inside and have a hot chocolate!

I agree LL! Princesses should be considered a neccessity like food and water! Girls need them to get by!

Don't worry about the baby thing. You'll have one when you're ready and when God feels it's right for you! Just tell everyone to kindly close their mouths! I often ask my mother to please just use her lips, not her voice! Stuff their mouths full of cookies!

You have enough on your plate right now! Babies are much easier when the other pieces of your life are straight!

So far we've gotten about 50cm and are expecting another 30cm by morning.

DANG!!!! Yes, 80 cm is over 2 1/2 feet!! Stay safe out there my dear gnomies (knock on wood, we got our first snowfall this weekend and can still see grass, after our record snowfall last year, I'm in no hurry to see more!)

but, other than that..got a ton of errands and cleaning done that I've been putting off. Got a few trip essentials at Target (love the mini product aisle!) and...we got about 1/3 inch of snow, I know it doesn't compare to the above, but for Virginia Beach, it's awfully early for snow.

Please let me know if you have any trip requests, I'd love to do the shopping for once for my gnomies! let me know!

Stacy's Weather Update: We are now at over 80cm of snow with another 45cm expected today!!! The mayor is currently at police headquarters (city hall is closed and inaccessible) trying to decide if we should declare a state of emergency! I called into work and they gave me a hard time about not coming in! Ontario Provincial Police and London City Police are telling people to stay off the roads and everything is closed again. They are pulling busses off the roads and plows, firetrucks and ambulances are getting stuck! When I can get home to my USB cord I'll post the photos I've been taking on my phone. It's redonculous!!!!

We didn't get near whar they said we would!! We only have about 8 inches (theyre calling for 3-4 or so more by tomarrow night) So we may squeek out that foot.... but I don't know if we will make it!!

It did take me an hour to get to work today... and there was no school forthe kids. But its cause the snow is so light... white outs are really bad!!

Well, they've closed our store for tonight so I have no idea if they expect me for work in the morning...my mum's street (where I am) and my street still haven't been plowed and the whole city is still pretty much being kept shut down for tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll be expected for my 9:30am shift! Let's all pray I don't die or kill my car on the way there! The mayor chose not to declare a state of emergency (you should see his Facebook page! People are MAD!) but...some spots in the city are over 100cm at this point so, I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. We're lucky that we're safe, healthy, have food and shelter and power so that's enough for me.

In other news, today is our Neighborhood Drop-in party!! The house is all decorated just have to mop the floor and pick up some last minute treats!!!

I did manage to burn myself pretty good yesterday while making caramel popcorn. Thankfully just one toe was the target, have a blister on it and I'm sure shoe wearing will prove to be interesting the next couple of days!!

CP and Jen, are you done this week? We still have 3 days next week too. It makes for a short break (we return the Monday after new year) but I just figure since we don't go anywhere, we don't need a ton of time and I'd rather be done by June!

We are getting a blast of nasty weather this weekend. Wind gusts overnight were 40 mph and with single digit air temps, the wind chills are awful!! We only got a few inches of snow but combined witht the winds, it's enough to close down half of the highways in the state. Luckily, we knew this was coming so I got out and ran all my errands yesterday and am hunkered down for the day to do laundry and some baking
