Happy Weekend EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone has a magical and relaxing weekend!

I am sure we could all use it! On top of the regular CRAZY schedule of working this week, I had Open House at my school on Thursday night....I am sure this is going to take a few days to recover!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO tired!!!!! Luckily, I have wonderful students, and their parents are just as nice, so my evening was smooth. I don't know if I told you all or not, but I teach Cris Collinsworth's son, and he came through open house to meet me---such a very nice man! His son is just as sweet---the apple must not fall far from the tree!

We have a wedding tomorrow and my sister's birthday, so it is going to be a VERY busy weekend! Ugh....I just need some sleep...and a maid.....and a trip to Mickey's House!

I just got an Angled Tote in Very Berry Paisley a few weeks ago that I just lovvvvveeeeee!!!..... I need no more temptations.....

The 10 day forcast now tells me that Arrival day is to be a high of 88 and scattered T-storms....
Jackie, is there a tropical storm heading that way?? Its showing 5 stright days of T-storms leading up to our arrival. I figure you'd know more than the weather channel lol!

C, I did see the new catalog -- I really like Spruced Up. I haven't had a new Vera since the Cupcake Pink one I bought earlier this year.

Paula, I don't think there is a tropical storm headed to Florida. Just remember every day there is rain predicted. It doesn't always happen. Really, I hope the weather is gorgeous while you are there.

I found a preview for the winter patterns... none jumped out at me. (yay!)

But Jackie... Spruced Up wasn't one of them I tried a google search and it didn't get anything either. Do ya have a link?? I just wannt check it out!

I'm glad there's no tropical storms heading towards florida! I'm not streeing the scattered T-storms...yet. I know from past trips, not not put too much stock in the forcast down there until the night before/that day lol! It changes so much!

I'm still battling this nasty cold... so are Ellie and Allison. I have so much congestion that my left eye is sore and swelled...

I feel alot better, though, cause I didn't do much all weekend but sleep!

Maybe it wasn't called Spruced Up -- the pattern was on the page of the winter catalog that said spruced up on it. It was a red swirly, Christmasy looking color. Very pretty!

I can't decide if I should attempt a TR or not. It used to be a no brainer... but after my last dismal failure at one.... now I don't know

I'm thinking maybe a 'photo journal'?? I can divide posts by event (MNSSHP, MK, Foodie post, AK, Character encounters, etc) and include any interesting snippets that may occur that is relevent to thedays topic....

This way if I go insane (again) it won't seem quite as obvious that I dropped the ball

Hi girls! I'm alive! Sorry, very busy here!

So, Blake is all good with his court thing, they dismissed the case, thank god!

The paper...it's still coming, I swear to god I'm sending it in this week, I got very very overwhelmed last weekend and realized this thing is going to be the death of me if I don't get it finished soon.

Blake and I went in for an interview with the Virginia Marine Resource Commission. I told my boss and if I stay with him, he's going to give me a $7,000 a year increase! Granted, there are no benefits with him right now, BUT, I think what's going to happen is Blake is going to get the job and we will just have to work it out, at least one of us will have full benefits. But, they said we'll hear back in 2-3 weeks, so wish us luck!

On top of that, our lease ends in december, if we switch to a 6 month lease, our rent goes up $200 a month! So, more than likely we're moving. It will all depend on what's going on with the job, if he gets it and I don't, we'll probably go to Chesapeake, VA (about 20 mins from us now), if we both get it, then we'll probably end up in Yorktown, VA (about 40 mins from us now). But we shall see!

I'm trying to keep up with everyone's updates and trip reports, so forgive me! I'll catch up eventually, miss you all!!

I got the free preview from B&N on my nook....I couldn't even force myself thru the preview. I don't know

I had the same problem with the Sookie Stackhouse ones. I forced myself to read the 1st 2 and then I gave up...I just couldn't get into them at all!

LL... didn't you and jackie mention that a new Pink Carnation book was coming out soon??? THOSE I really enjoyed

It took me about 100 pages to really get into the book, but then I loved it.

A holiday pink carnation comes out in October or November and then other doesn't come out until January or February.

I gave up on Sookie Stackhouse, they got a little too ridiculous for me.

I'm also anxious for the new Shopaholic book to come out, I love those!

The hardest part about reading them is that they were translated from Swedish so it was a little hard to adjust to reading the story...if that makes sense. Plus the names of places are a little confusing but if you don't dwell on that so much you can get into the story.

Not really -- I appear to be in a book drought lately. After finishing the three books in The Hunger Games series (which I cannot recommend enough), I have been reading the same book for two weeks. I like it, but it's just not as engrossing as what I was reading before.

Gnomies, I have to vent for a minute about one of my colleagues. I have to eat lunch with her every day, and she drives me nuts!!! I swear, I don't think she has ANY social skills whatsoever. She monopolizes the conversation and most of the time what she talks about, the rest of us could care less about. Today she really ticked me off when she started going on about how she doesn't make her gifted kids work in groups if they don't want to. I turned to her and said, "But one day they are going to have to know how to work together in the real world." Her response? "They are going to be the bosses anyway."



Last time I checked even management needed to know how to play well with others.

Anyway, can you tell I was really bugged by her today?
