GMFB? Am I wrong?

Hiya,

Sorry to be so daft but I really don't get this GMF breakfast. Do I book that separately and pay for it or just add that to our booking.

I booked our trip directly but noone offered me anything like that. On our previous 2 trips to DLRP we had breakfast in the park one morning before the park was opened to public. Is that the same?

And do I need to ring DLRP again to book?

Are you staying at a Disney hotel?
If so, yes, you can phone up the booking line and add the GMF breakfasts to your booking, free of charge. Unless you are staying in a Disney hotel, you can't get GMF, as I understand it. Its one of the perks of staying at a Disney hotel.
You can also wait until you check in at your hotel, and request GMF breakfasts then. But as its free to add to your booking over the phone, I'd phone to book it in advance.

It is the breakfast in the park you remember from your last trip.

Were they both character breakfasts that you had to pay for? The GMF breakfast is free, but it isn't a character meal, it just gets you into the park earlier than if you stay at your hotel for breakfast. Also, it isn't all offered to guests of all the Disney hotels - just people staying at the Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay.

Thank you! I just didn't know it was called GMFB (can't believe I'm that daft ). We had it on both of our previous visits, got to the park earlier before it opened to public and went on a few rides before everyone else did.

We're having breakfast in the park on monday and hopefully we'll be able to take DD1 on PP and SW.

Can't wait - only 2 sleeps to go!

Is this true?! Well - we're going to Santa Fe on Sunday and stay there for 2 days and have already booked the GMFB!? So what will they do?!

I would phone your booking line Winterfee, and get confirmation one way or the other.

Maybe the Santa Fe just didn't have any availability for GMF when Soozeej was there?

I've just called them and they told me as long as it is on my reservation we'll get it. But it could be possible that Santa Fe is thinking about stopping the GMFB in the future.

Who cares - as long as they have it the next days !

Interesting I have been wondering if it is going to be stopped altogether - I can't see any mention of it in the new 07/08 brochure at all That would be a shame

I'd wondered that also.
Part of the original reason behind GMFB was to take the load of the hotel breakfasts, while appearing to be a guest perk.
I can understand from a cost and logistics, along with EMH why this may not be popular with management
