I saw on another thread that someone thought you could have more than 1 GMF breakfast per stay

does anyone know??

I'm sure you could have one every morning of your stay, as long as there is availability :)

We had two GMFB prebooked during our three night stay. Like Bexx said as long as there is availibility you shouldn't have a problem doing more than one GMFB.

did you pre book them or ask at reception when you got to DLRP?

Hi!
We pre-booked 3 GMF's for our trip because we didn't want to risk missing out by waiting til we got there.
Both options are available but are subject to availability if you wait til at the hotel.
It was definatly worth doing when we were there in March but it will be busier now if Extra Hours are in the morning.

We didnt book last year but got one when we checked into hotel so this year didnt bother to book before going. However when we got there we were told there was no availability but if we asked again the following day there may be something available as they only release so many per day. We then were able to book one.

So I would advise booking before you go but if you arent able to book more than one or for a particular day ask again when you arrive or each day as something may become available.

It was busy during the morning with EMH and so I dont think there is as much advantage as there used to be but it avoids the chaotic breakfasts which sometimes happen in the hotels.
Also as Ive posted before we booked a late GMF which meant we could go in for EMH, enjoy almost 2 hrs then get breakfast just as park was getting even busier. At that late time we enjoyed it more as we werent eating at crack of dawn.

I booked two for my trip I am on right now. I booked them 2-3 weeks ago. I did GMFL this morning and have a voucher for tomorrow as well. You can only get GMFL on the morning after a night you stay here. In other words if you check in at say 8AM to get your park tix and drop off your luggage, you cannot get GMFL for that day. Only for the next morning.

Is my understanding correct that you can't have a GMF if you are staying at DCR? If not, is there anyway of getting into the park early? I know about EMH.

I have had them more than once during one visit. As long as it isn't "sold-out", you can go!

It's a "Good Morning Fantasyland" breakfast and it's available to most* Disney hotel guests, don't worry if you haven't booked one beforehand, the chances are that you'll be able to get one if you request it when you check in.

Basically it's the same standard of breakfast that you will receive in the hotel, but you will be allocated a restaurant inside Fantastyland usually at "Au Chalet de la Marionette" or "Bella Notte", it used to be 1 hour before park opening but I'm actually not sure how it works with the extra magic hours and it gave the opportunity to ride some of the Fantasyland attractions before the crowds hit the park. :)

*Hotel exceptions are New York and the Disneyland.

BTW Hi and welcome to DIS. :goodvibes

Its the Good Morning Fantasyland breakfast - if you are staying in a selected Disney hotel, you can choose, at no extra charge, to have your breakfast inside Fantasyland in the Disney park, instead of at your hotel.

Well worth doing if you have little kids with you, especially if they like the rides in Fantasyland. We had our breakfast at the Bella Notte, and whilst it was busy, it was nowhere near as chaotic as our hotel, the Santa Fe. And my daughter loved looking out for the Lady and the Tramp references in the restaurant.

FWIW, if you qualify for GMFL then you should use it every day you can. Getting an early start on FL is just a smart thing to do. Yesterday they had PP and Dumbo running prior to park opening and today it was only PP. I sat outside for breakfast and was able to see PP, and they started it up at about 9:35AM. I finished breakfast a couple minutes later and rode it twice in a row as a walk on.

now i thought when you book through say Thomas Cook, they ask you which day you want GMFL breakfast.

Are you all saying that when you actually get to DLRP and check into the hotel, that you then ask for more GMFL breakfasts
e.g.
we will go Mon-Fri...tell Thomas Cook to get us a GMFL for Thurs.
should we then ask at check in fo GMFL for Tues, Wed and Fri also??

Confused!

Don't be confused - yes, ask at check-in for the other days your want a GMF.
I want 2 consecutive days GMF this trip (in October) so I'm going to phone the Disney line soon to book them, as I booked my hotel from them.

Is my understanding correct that you can't have a GMF if you are staying at DCR? If not, is there anyway of getting into the park early? I know about EMH.

Yes, you're right, it's just for guests staying at Newport Bay, Sequoia Lodge, Cheyenne and Santa Fe.

I also would recommend the GMFB, particularly if you have small children who like the Dumbo ride, or the carousel. For our previous 2 or 3 trips we have booked a GMFL, through the Disney UK booking line, for every morning of our stay. It was not available to us when we stayed at DCR a couple of years ago, or at HNY this Easter.

However, if the extra magic hours are operating in the morning, then it is less of an advantage to have a GMFL as you can only get in from 8am, the same time that the EMH start. In other words, you will be having your breakfast whilst missing some valuable ride times when it is quieter. A good idea would be, as Small World says in post 7, to do some EMH's first, then eat breakfast as late as possible, when the park starts to get busy.

Regards

Tosty.

We stayed at the Sequoia in November and pre booked one GMFL breakfast through the travel agents. As weenjoyed breakfast in the park so much we asked at reception if we could book for the following day. This was no problem. We are going again in July and heve pre booked GMFL for each of the days. You get in to the park early, onto the rides before anyone else, and you get to meet a few characters too. My daughter had Winnie the Pooh all to herself! Try it at least once. The breakfast is exactly the same as in the hotel too! :cheer2:
