I thought it would be fun to put the DL half-marathon route into the Gmaps pedometer to look at what the actual route might look like, compared to the "pretty" map (PDF) provided on the official site.
Here's the result!
Obviously, this is my best guess - I'm sure I've made a couple of wrong turns here and there, but I think I have the basic route correct. Seeing it on the real map certainly points out how much of the race is on the "scenic", i.e. boring streets of Anaheim.
And acccording to the calorie counter on Gmaps (in the left-hand menu), I'll burn 1720 calories during the race. Definitely great justification for carbo loading the day before...
