Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with selling a contract using GMAC? If you have, could you please let me know your thoughts? Thanks!

I have not sold through them, I just bought through them and I thought they were great. My agent was Rachel. We closed in about 32 days from making the offer to closing. I would use them again to buy or to sell.

I bought through GMAC with Rachel also. The whole process went very smoothly. All my questions were answered in a timely manner and there were no problems with documents. The "problem free" side is a combo of the seller, GMAC and me having all our stuff in order and responding quickly.

I'm not sure if I would buy from GMAC again because of their administrative fee. I'd look around first. (I'm not sure how that effects a seller though.)

We planning on getting more points soon, just need to save up some more cash.

I think one of the negatives about buying/selling with GMAC is the $195 "administrative fee" they charge. I'm still looking for the right contract but GMAC is always so much higher b/c their closing costs are more (I think about $100) and there is a $195 fee. I may still buy from GMAC but would be willing to pay less for the contracts due to the additional costs.

We have purchased from three different Brokers over the years. We would rate GMAC 3rd. No contact, no information, hard to get a call back.

All you have to say is "I want the buyer to pay closing costs" and then you won't have to pay anything. Got a great deal on a loaded contract and didn't pay any fees.

I agree with this. My purchase was great, quick, no problems, but the admin fee soured me a little, so I will hopefully do all add ons through Disney and save fees. Of course this is no help for a seller!

I am in the process of purchasing through GMAC.

As a buyer you have no choice in agent or broker. You have to purchase through who has the listing for the contract you want.

I contacted all the biggies while we were looking.. And alot of the other agents at the other brokerages were VERY helpful. (returning calls / emails, answering dumb questions). But the exact contract we were hunting at the exact price we wanted shoed up on MyResortsNetwork as a GMAC listing so we had to go through them. And we really feel like the red headed step child . I guess we're such small potatoes our emails aren't important enough to reply to.
