It's a while since I posted on here as I really thought we would never make it back to the World. After a very hard couple of months and a family bereavement I have decided my DD and I need something to look forward to and to enjoy planning. :earboy2:

since we last went my DD (she'll be 16 when we go back) has started on a gluten free diet I have been able to find a lot of info on table and quick service GF menus and am feeling really positive about but I'm struggling to find any info on GF snacks. We will be on the dining plan. If anyone has got and info/advice/experience on GF snacks is be very grateful to hear it :thanks:

Dole Whips in Magic Kingdom! And there is a kiosk in Animal Kingdom (called Terra Treats, I think) with all allergy friendly snacks - both savory and sweet.

Thanks for your replies. DD can be pretty fussy (as well as GF) but she does like brownies pop corn and cookies so that's good news. Will definitely be visiting the kiosk in AK that is really worth knowing. Xx

Also, a whole gluten-free/allergy friendly bakery in Disney Springs (Erin McKenna's) - who doesn't love a cupcake!

There's a blog with reviews it's mostly TS meals, but there's some snacks and QS as well. If you google gfinorlando it should come up. Also the review for food in my signature has some details about gluten free snacks because my boyfriend eats gluten free. Like a poster said above most places have pre-packaged things like brownies, cookies etc. Popcorn, nachos, and ice cream are also available in a lot of places. Some places substitute in fruit or had a dessert like sorbet or panna cotta if nothing else was gluten free. My boyfriend loved Erin Mckennas and got 3 boxes of desserts from them!

Here's some snacks we liked or that we want to try:
-At the Wishes dessert party they gave out a plate of brownies and fruit
-Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary has gluten free cupcakes
-Terra Treats in AK has gluten free snacks
-A couple places have flourless chocolate cakes on their menu I think Boma is one of them
-The Mara at AKL has gluten free zebra domes
-Beaches and Cream since their snacks are ice cream, you would just have to change it or have them make a gluten free version if it had a brownie or something in it
-At POFQ they have gluten free beignets
-I heard Raglan Road has a couple gluten free desserts to choose from like a strawberry crumble
-L'Artisan de glace at Epcot has sorbet and other ice cream treats my boyfriend enjoyed
-La Catina de San Angel had good small tacos that were gluten free
-Be Our Guest has a gluten free lemon creampuff
-Dole Whips
-At Sunshine Seasons in Epcot it said they have rice pudding, creme brulee, coconut macaroons for gluten free
-In Disney Springs there's also Ghiradelli which does ice cream, a gelato place, and the Ganachery which has chocolate

Beach Club Marketplace (gift shop in hotel which has dvc villas) had several types of gluten free cookie-type food last summer. Can't remember exactly what they were but i do remember that i had to ask where they were because i didn't see them. They were not hidden but were not someplace i would have expected to find them.

We hated the dtd bakery. Everything left a horrible after taste and while it looked like it cupcake at doughnuts it did not taste like them.

Another thing to think about is that at QS restaurants they often have allergen free items available if you ask. If nothing she likes is available you can swap a desert for any snack option at most restaurants. Have a magical time What !!!

Wow, thanks for all of your replies. They are so helpful and will give me loads to research and plan now :) We are planning on staying at POFQ so I can see some GF beignets in our future lol!! :thanks:

thank you so much for this. I've just read your dining review and it is so helpful. at lot of the places you ate at are on our list. its nice to know that there will be plenty for DD to eat. xx

Babycakes at DTD....yummmm..... but be aware they are vegan, soy free GF and white sugar free..... so it's not your average 'substitute for normal' cookies, etc. I LOVE them.... but the average GF item at Disney is (delicious) but has lots of sugar,etc.... a difference depending on your food needs ( I still LOVE Babycakes a LOT but it does taste more different) That said lots of buffets and restaurants will provide GF desserts even if you can't find anything right away.... GF by itself is "simple" for Disney, they've been so good at it for so many years...(too good....see the calorie count thread!:rotfl2:)

I'm so glad Disney are good at it because it is all still quite new to us, another reason to love Disney :yay: thanks for the info on Babycakes xx

We found that many of the gift shops that sold treats had a GF section with many treats made by Enjoy Life, a brand of GF snacks we also eat at home. They included snack bars, cookies and chocolate, plus some others that I can't recall. Pretty tasty.

That's great to know, thank you. I've just googled Enjoy Life (it's not a brand I've heard of in England) I'm quite hopefully now there will be a lot DD will be able to eat
