Does anyone know if there are currently any gluten free options at the bakery? Baked goods, breakfast/lunch sandwiches? Thanks!

Last time I was there, I asked.

They said, yes, they were sure that they had something. . . . . . . .

I left, after saying thanks anyway.

DW is GF and we stay at BWV. The bakery has premade lunch sandwiches on GF bread, usually turkey and beef. They also have OMG GF brownies.

If you want a salad, the Big River Brewery can do a very good GF chicken caesar salad to go. It's large enough to split for lunch or a light dinner for two.

For breakfast, you can get the breakfast sandwich on gf bread. I asked for the sandwich without any bread, and they offered the gf bread.

Well, I'm glad I left.

Disney has OMG brownies pretty much everywhere, including almost every single counter service. And premade sandwiches? I'd rather not.

The Boardwalk Bakery usually has at least one thing from Erin McKenna's--all of their items are vegan and gluten-free . . . and delish!

I'm really not a debbie downer.

But yuck. I rarely purchase anything from Erin McKenna's. Because they are all made with bean flour. In my opinion, bean flour isn't good for sweet baked goods. They give everything a terrible aftertaste.

If you have absolutely nowhere to purchase gluten free baked goods, back home. And you don't ever make your own. Then you might enjoy them. Otherwise, there are so many other, better options.

If you are already at Disney Springs, stop by Sprinkles. They now carry two different gluten free cupcakes. May table service places have gluten free options. Heck, even BOG lunch has a gluten free option. As does Cookes of Dublin.

Do they usually have a gf donut or something breakfasty like that? I'd eat the breakfast sandwich but I'm guessing my daughter would prefer a donut if her brothers are getting a gluten pastry. Or maybe I'll just bring some from home!

If you have time, I would order from Katz Gluten free bakery. They have their "grab and go" section. They are sets of individually wrapped baked goods. That way you could carry it until she is ready to eat it.

And they are really good.

We love Katz! We also have an awesome gf bakery a mile from our house (voted best gf bakery in PA!) so can also freeze some donuts and bring along. Thanks everyone!

Very interesting, and I appreciate you posting it. I checked Erin McKenna's website, and you're right, a lot of their products contain chickpea and/or fava bean flours. I generally don't care for the taste that these flours impart to anything, sweet or savory, but I have to say, I've never detected those flavors in the EM products I've eaten. I have eaten countless EM doughnuts, and I absolutely love the chocolate chip cookie sandwiches! Never tried the cupcakes.

When they first opened, I bought a few of each of what they carried. Yes, it was a bunch of stuff. It is fine, as long as I am drinking something with a strong flavor. But for me, the real test is eating something with nothing to drink or just water. And when I do that, I feel like I need to brush my teeth and mouth, after I eat. Maybe I am just sensitive to the flavor.
