My family of 4 is currently booked at BWV in January. One of my sons has celiac & must eat gluten free. He’s also pretty picky. Food options at BWV are limited and not all menus have allergy options listed. What are your favorite options for quick meals around crescent lake?

I am not familiar with the food offerings at the Swan & Dolphin, but have dined at YC/BC. Both of their QS offer an allergy menu & GF options for mobile ordering. The YC QS (The Market) sends their GF orders to be prepared in the Ale & Compass kitchen, which also has an allergy menu available through mobile ordering.

For snacks, the Beach Club Marketplace has a gf brownie which I did not like. For identification purposes, it is in a plastic container like items made on property. Some places have the pre-packaged brownie which you can get at Barnes and Noble bookstore cafes, that one is much better but I haven't seen it at Yacht or Beach Club this week. Last year I got it at Contempo Cafe at Contemporary.

Sometimes you can do mobile order at Ale and Compass table service restaurant at YC (not to be confused with the Market at Ale and Compass quick service at YC). But if you want to do that, put your order in early because time slots fill up.

Have you thought about getting groceries from www.publix.com? You can book a towncar ride from the airport which includes a stop there. Or lots of people have had success using www.instacart.com to order from there and have groceries delivered to the hotel, but they cancelled my order for no apparent reason 2 days ago. I ended up taking a Lyft there because my day starts with gf bread so I need it in my room. The ride was about $20 plus tip each way; that was a Saturday night, and I don't know if that timing affected the price. I like the store at 9930 Universal Blvd.

Riviera has a lot of good gluten free options and it’s easy to get there on the skyliner. There’s a gf macaroni and cheese that I think is really good. I know they have it at AoA and I requested it at POFQ even though it wasn’t on the menu so maybe other resorts have it as well.

DW is GF. For mobile order/quick serve, she enjoys the GF sandwiches and salads from the BW Deli, the GF pizza from the BW Pizza Window (it may even be better than the regular pizza), and the bacon cheeseburger and fries from Hurricane Hanna’s Grill by the Stormalong Bay pool at the YC/BC. Both Ale & Compass and Trattoria al Forno have accommodated her dietary needs for breakfasts and dinners.

Thank you for all the suggestions! We’ve been to WDW many times with celiac & know how accommodating they are, but were worried about BWV with no real QS restaurant. It sounds like we’ll have a lot of options. I hadn’t thought about jumping over to Riviera and wasn’t aware of the mobile ordering at Ale & Compass or Trattoria. We will have a full kitchen so we’ll definitely be ordering groceries- we will have a full kitchen. Thank you for all of your input!
