Glue removal question...

Dumby me was scrapping on my bedroom floor. Well I got the glue on my carpeting and now it is collecting dirt. It looks terrible!! and so dirty!! Does anyone know how to get this stuff off???? HELP!!!!

Goof-Off. Don't know if it works on glue but it is worth a try as I used in on paint that had dried.

The label says it is good for dried latex paint, GLUE, adhesives, sticker residue, lipstick, markers, candle wax, oil. Home Depot and Walmarts sell it.
