Do you mean the patriarch represented as tenth in descent from Adam. According to a story in Genesis, who made the ark that saved his family and specimens of every animal from the Flood.

Yeah, I don't think the Noah she was talking about could ever make it into the bible. That's awsome you would think about adopting / fostering an older child. I have to admit, I was quite picky about the child I wanted. I hate to say it, but I clearly took the "easiest" way, with a healthy, same-race newborn. I am always impressed with those who do something diffrently.
