Glowing Ice Cubes??

Just got back from our trip and brought home some glowing ice cubes for my neice (o'kay for me too! ). My husband insists that the gel stuff inside them means that they can really be frozen in the freezer. I told him I thought it was just to make it look like a real ice cube. So what's the verdict? Can they actually be frozen?

My daughter still uses hers and lights up from our trip of August 04. Each time she is done using it in her drink - she rinses it under running water and places it immediately back in the freezer til next time. I can't believe it still lights up. It takes an extra second when you bang it, but it works.

Where did you get your's? DS9 got one at Coral Reef last week. I was wondering the same thing about freezing them.

I want to get more for his birthday party in December, but I don't know where to find them. I remember seeing them at Walgreens over the summer, but I'm sure they don't have them anymore.

I got my boys their ice cubes at Sci Fi - I didn't know you had to put them in the freezer. I'm going to try it tonight and hopefully they will still work. Thanks!

I got mine at 50's prime time...I got it in the picnic lemonade OK maybe 2...but it's vacation.


And yes it is only for me...I use it but do not put it in the freezer...I don't think it's actually for chilling, just effect.

I thought it was just for effect also. Ours hasn't been put in the freezer, and they still worked last time we checked. If someone knows something I don't, please let me know, I don't want these things pooping out on my kids before we get the chance to go back.

The above is from the website where I ordered them from. My kids liked them so much from our WDW trip...that I bought some for our last kids party. We put them back & forth into the freezer & have had no problem whatsoever. I kinda get a kick out of them myself.
