Glow with the Show ears?

Hi, all! I am at WDW now, enjoying lovely weather. DH and I noticed there were not any Glow with the Show ears for sale. Saw Fantasmic tonight and no one was wearing them there.

Did these flop? Did they decide against them. Based on videos online, I wasn't sure if I would like them. Maybe too distracted from the show? But thought I would see them.

Not sure but if they did flop I'd be thrilled! I wasn't looking forward to potentially having to pay $50 for my DDs to have the ears that everyone else had.

DH bought a pair for the Xmas party, the next day they were not working. So we took it back. That one did not work. Took a few tries before we found one that was working.

So if you cant find them... they probably pulled because of defects.

We were there 2 weeks ago and bought a pair. They have been fine for us but it didn't seem like a lot of people had them.

I was there over MLK weekend. I couldn't find anywhere they were selling them at HS and almost no one was wearing them.

I did see them sold in the Hub at MK before MSEP and Wishes, and saw a few more people wearing them in MK. But they were still fairly few and far between.

I bought my pair 2 years ago at DL and the only issues I've had are having to change the batteries.

I bought some at California Adventure. Only once I got home did I realize that I actually don't get to enjoy them, but everyone around me does. Kind of an odd feature. I will say that they are very uncomfortable to wear. I'm debating bringing them to Florida, might be fun.

Only saw a dozen or so the week before Xmas.

The issue I see is that they are not for your enjoyment but those around you. They are very cool but but to get the full effect lots of people have to buy them and it appears that people aren't going to buy them Until they see others buying.

We tried three pairs before giving up and just getting our money back. None of them worked for more than 10 minutes. Beyond that they just didn't light up. Definitely a supply problem. I did see a few people wearing them but they didn't work like the ones I saw in Disneyland. They did not seem to be in synch.

I guess we were lucky. Bought both of my kids the ears this past October and both worked fine. My son, would hold his ears in his lap so he could see the ears light up with the music.

If it makes any difference, we used them at Fantasmic.
