thunderbird1, I get accused of being intelligent all the time but then I remind folks that I earn my living scrubbing toilets and that changes their minds.

I have the Fantasmic meet marked on my agenda but I am planning on being at MK that day. If I should leave early and am able I might join up with you all but am not sure I could find you in that huge arena. Maybe someone could do a listings of names, cell phones and etc. I would not be comfortable posting such on an open forum.

One death, local, and two missing statewide that I have heard of so far. Many homes have been totally destroyed. We are find. no water but I figure that will be fixed soon. It is heartbreaking all the damage and destruction and it has come in waves lately. We do not get such round here.

I talked to Farrah yesterday and there was quite a bit of flooding in her town... but luckily enough not near her house....

we don't get storms like that - last significant tornado was 1978!!! We do get blizzards to beat the band and an occassional hurricane. Hope all your loved ones are safe & sound.

yep, my mom is trapped at her house due to flooded road ways and 3 of my aunts houses are under water--well I guess I should say they have water in them, cause not actually UNDER water Its been crazy here lotsa collapsed roads and broken levys (sp)...have never seen anything like it.

Pooch, we do not have weather like this here either but we are sure getting it this year. Many folks do not have flood insurance because it has never flooded in these areas. I cannot imagine losing your home and still owing house payments and such. It is heartbreaking. Everyone is helping out as they can. I cannot do anything physical so I am doing my share fiscally. I wish I could do more.

H&J's mom. the folks down here in Columbus are trapped as well. More rain is expected tomorrow. Is it there as well? I am glad you are safe and I am sorry to hear about your family members. I hope it does not turn out to be too bad and that your aunts live in older houses that can withstand some water.

I must be sicker than I think. My grandson came over and put up two plantation blinds for me. I have put the rest up myself but just am not able now. He only charged me $7 an hour instead of the usual $20 (which I have never paid) lol He did a great job and with the price of gas the poor kid needs the work. He works at a golf course and with all the rain he did not get much work this week. I am not hoping for a lot more rain but one or two drizzly days much later after all we have now dries up would give me a chance at getting my basement cleaned.

are you guys ok? Been watching the news and it looks awful out there!!! We're dealing with an early heat wave here in CT. Over 90 for the past 3 days and expected again tomorrow. DD and I are going to NYC on Wed to take in a couple of shows. God, I hope it breaks by then. The City is unbearable in this kind of heat.

On vacation this week -DH and I are redoing our bedroom. Trying to do a little in the morning and then again later at night because its just too hot!!!!

Yes, Bonz is a friend of mine. I think you guys would enjoy each other. She is a fun loving great gal!

I am fine, all around me is not. The only hardship I have is that we might be without water until Wednesday but we have enough to drink. My neighbor has a well but I am not able to carry a bucket to flush so that is a bit of a problem. Trying to get everyone to use the upstairs one so it does not stink more than it has to. We will be gone tomorrow, if we are able to get to town then, so that will help.

What are you doing to your bedroom? I just about finished mine. My oldest grandson came over and put up two blinds for me and that pleased me greatly. You can now see the beautiful stained glass from inside the house when the blinds are partially opened. Send pictures of before and after if you want. I love home decorating.

H&J, how are you and yours doing today? Do you have more rain coming? We do. I hope it decides to skip you and I both.

I hate home decorating and am lousy at it. Too late for the before, wallpaper has been stripped & sanded. DH is waiting for me to go look at new furniture. We are finally, after 30 years, giving up the waterbed!! Bought a mattress & boxsprings on Saturday, now looking for head/foot board and dressers etc. I'll check back later. Have a good day my lovelies!!

Pooch, actually Bonz is already signed up for the meet on the 10th, along with Timmie/Ants, MickeyVixie, KellieBlue,Pooh, myself and of course YOU!! I believe I am the designated driver. Ants has already called shotgun but the backseat of my care is very comfy, at least it looks that way since I have never actually sat in it, yet.

The new bedroom sounds lovely any old way. It is good to change things up a bit now and then. I have so many rooms that I am always in the process of redecorating something and it is often 20 years in between too.

You should see, and probably will, my before and after. lol

Gosh, you gals are making me blush We arrived in Indy about 4pm to terrific storms I made DH go to liquor store before checking in & got caught in a nasty down pour. It is flooded around here We have a 7am flight-UGHHHHH! Happy birthday to me(29 again)

Thanks 4 asking...we are okay but sadley many around us are not...There has been rain NON stop for days...many houses under water and it is storming as I type. I hope to see releif soon.

Hi Linda...Been raining on and off all day ....storming now..., hope we get a break soon, we have people trapped in there houses and roads collapsed. Luckily our house is next to THOMPSONS didtch , so that has withheld alot of the water in our neighborhood. HOw Is it your way??

Hi Peeps... got back yesterday at around 1PM as always went back straight to work which was the best idea ever. It was sooooooooo hot when I got off the plane and work is like an ice box!!! Still in the 90's today...

To those who are under water !!! I wish you can just redirect those waters here... we need a good rain to break this heat wave! And to those who are experiencing baking.. please stay hydrated : with water of course!!!

We had so much fun!!! And only at the end of trip that I realized Sarah the friend I took with me was old enough to be my kid we have been known each other for a good 3 years now but never pay attention to how old she is!!! Yikes she is just turning 22 next month !!! The best part about it is she though I was just in my 30's (which I am.. but early 30's like 31 ) but never the less... we had some great times !!! And yes I am back on the list of doing the

Ok... for specifics on about the Glow Party last year.. I am referring you to Tanya over there... And for Mojito party.. that I can answer!! We had fun!!! hihihi lotsa chatter and meeting great peeps... Some great times!!! And now we are trying to merge both parties... so the latter part of the month the Glows merge with the Mojito which makes us one big happy Glowjitos!!! And it all started with a Mouse!!!
