no way!!! I just had to go work.... and I knew why I was mad yesterday.. it was a premonition... I kicked out 3 of the doctors who tried to dictate on how I manage my lab... thought I will be fired by this morning but thank God my director had the sense to agree with me... And from the moment I walk in my room till midnight it was none stop bussssssssssy!!! But today was a better day though.. I let them all live !!!

Timmie, I think that Starbucks is going to be one of the first luxuries to go, especially with McD's going into competition. The days of $5 coffees is over. The money goes into the gas tank.

Until I read the post about you kicking the doctors out of your lab I was worried, very worried, that you were as nice as I used to be and that is not a good thing at all. I am relieved now. I will take a McD ice cream cone please? It is the healthiest thing that they sell. 140 calories and low in fat etc. It is satisfying enough to do in place of a meal too. I will await the check.

Figment, it is hard enough to synchronize ourselves individually at my age let alone get a group 'thing' going. I have read that women, when living in close quarters, can synchronize other bodily functions though.

I am so proud of my grandson. He has learning disabilities aplenty as well as an eye disease so he has a really rough time in school. He got a job at a local golf course, mowing. He came by and was telling me that his boss is praising him up one side and another (deservedly so) and I could see the pride in his eyes and hope he could see the same in mine. He also is learning to be much better with money this summer and actually (gasp) is saving up to buy a Honda. I had offered him my not so very old Toyota last year but it was not cool enough for him. With the current gas prices his big old Cummins powered diesel is not looking so good. I enjoy watching kids grow up, and especially so well.

His younger brother stayed the night yet again. He loves the a/c and maybe me. He is here more than not in the summers. We get along well.

Figment, I have an 'open door' policy. During the day my back door is always unlocked and my grandkids and their friends are always welcome. I am enjoying kids that actually talk to me like I am a human being, their parents never did. I have trained them to pick up after themselves and feed themselves, if necessary so it is a good relationship. I love kids and DISers but am not sure there is a whole lot of difference. It is a good thing!

I am not so sure that it is only men who do it outdoors. They just LIKE it.

angwill, I do not worry too much about who is doing WHAT it when they are doing WHO that it bothers me a bit.

Timmie, I do not think it pays to be nice, all the time. Not so nice folks take advantage of that fact. I started out nice and now am cautious and working my way up to full fledged biotch. The thing about DW is that we are comfortable thinking that everyone there is nice, as are we. Luckily we are seldom wrong.
