FigmentFinder, so you are one of THOSE people who put kids first huh? Do you really think that making memories with your child is more important than making a graphic?:confused3

Of course it's not. My son's lacrosse practice was cancelled because of rain, so I decided we should have a fun afternoon. I always put my son first. I swear DH is a close second. :rolleyes1

But I had planned to do laundry, work on some computer stuff and prep vegetables for the week. I get a little frustrated with myself when I can't get everything done.

Guess I should have stayed up til 4 a.m. and done everything on my list. ;)

Hey everyone. I know... I've been gone a while. Sorry!

Levi's birthday was Mother's Day and I am just now starting to see a little light.

So how is everyone's planning going?

Little man and God Bless and keep you. Hi Alicia, DD & I are arriving on 9/5 and Linda is joining us for dinner at Coral Reef. We'll spend the rest of the night (EMH) in Epcot. Maybe we can see you for drinks & Illuminations?

to DD that she's on for the trip again. I had originally planned this trip for a friend (not a close one) who had never been to WDW and wanted to go. She was so excited when I offered to plan the trip & take her. Now we all love to plan here but it is a lot of work and I could never get a hold of her to ask opinions etc. The final straw, of course, was money. I was VERY upfront with the cost of the trip from the beginning and she said she was fine with it. Well, I asked about 6 weeks ago for a check for the flight ($200) and, although she said she sent it, I still haven't gotten it and we only live like 20 miles apart!! Sent several e-mails and left messages on her cell phone with no response. So I'm done hunting her down. What's gonna happen when I need a check for $900?!?!?

Ok, end of rant. So now Katie was on the hook again and I was afraid to tell/ask her. Today, we're both off from work and I sheepishly say that I've cancelled Terry's flight and rebooked with her. I quickly offer to cut the trip short - make it just a long weekend. And then, my dear, sweet, (did I mention I love:lovestruc this kid?) daughter says "No, I'm good with 8 days. I had fun last year. Where are we eating this time? Can I get the pulled pork at the Studios and you are NOT drinking my Grey Goose slushie this time!!! CJ (her "friend") said we should try Ohana but I'm not doing any more character meals, except Liberty Tree Tavern. We have to eat there or I'm not going!"

I raised her right. So, although more expensive, I think the trip will be more fun and I'm happy!!!!

Hi girls! Haven't been working on planning for a while. We are eating at Raglan Road check-in day, 30th. Linda, we might be game for Wishes after!

So funny Kelli, my nickname is Pooch because my maiden name is Pucci (ya know Poochy!!). Love going to the gift Shop in Italy to see Uncle Emilio's perfume!! Got a picture somewhere but I don't know how to post pictures. Yes, sadly, I am computer illiterate! And we'll be at Scat Cats (Katie might even come!) with bells on!

Pooch, I think you will find that it will be worth the bucks to have such good company. I am a bit worried about being in that same situation. Maybe sometime you and I can meet and go down together? Do you go down 65?

Alicia, I have your PM, my box is now full. I have been in Indpls all day and am plumb wore out so I will answer you tomorrow. I will save you a seat on the beach. Angwill might be joining us as well. It is my favorite first night thing to do nowadays.

bentleygirl22, congratulations on having your trip all paid for. Vacation is so much more fun when you know you are not facing big debts when you get back home. You are wise!:teacher:

Figment, I prep my veggies and all for the week also. I do not need any excuses for eating BAD stuff, not that I keep any of that stuff around anymore. I done changed my evil ways. I have on a new pair of pants, they have a zipper. I have not worn pants with a zipper in decades, literally!! Do you plan ahead leftovers too? :)

SG

I plan ahead leftovers for lunches. It makes my mornings go easier. I made a Phase1 taco bake on Monday night I've been having for lunch for the past couple days.

My capris felt a little tight when I put them on, so I'm currently South Beaching again. I miss the carbs, but I like to be able to wear my pants. I found when I wore stretchy pants all the time, I stretched to fit them. lol I almost always wear jeans. They let you know when you've put on a few pounds.

Figment, I started out with WW and lost about 50 pounds and then I went to Adkins, which I could not tolerate, but have been on South Beach since. It is easy and I can eat out on it. I found a wonderful flax seed flat bread at WM for only 100 cal, lots of fiber and very low in carbs so I can have a Cajun Turkey sandwich. I have quite a few recipes if you might be interested. As of Tuesday I am down about 114 pounds. I started wearing tight clothes even though I know I looked like a bag of puppies wrestling so I would not get comfortable too. :rotfl:

SG

I tried WW once. The person running the meetings was not very inspirational. So, it seemed like a waste of time and money. I think WW works well if you have a good group. Doubt I could ever do Atkins. I'd rather not have to measure my broccoli.

I'd love any South Beach recipes you have. It's easier to stay on track if the food isn't boring.

Tight pants are a great motivator. It's harder to overeat when wearing them.

SG, Still trying to get a reservation for 5 at Ohana's for 7/30 no luck so far. I am calling about 3 times a week. Hopefully we will all be up for watching Wishes at Poly afterward. The only problem is DH hates fighting the crowds getting back to the resort after the fireworks so I have to convince him. I am sure we can get together even if it is after dinner and before the crowds. lol

Tomorrow it will be double digits 99 days for me. YEAH!!!!

Don't know where 65 is. I live in Connecticut remember?!?! Always fly down but I'd be more than willing to meet you down there. I told the family this would be the last trip until grandchildren but you know I don't really mean that!!! I am happy that Katie is happy to be going. I know it'll be more fun with her along. I'm hoping you all get to meet her this time. I'm such a proud mom!!!!

BTW, I have been trying to drop a few (ok 25) lbs ever since the Menopause Fairy came to live in my house. WW worked 12 years ago but isn't doing anything for me now. I could sure use any advise you all would care to offer.

Ms. Lindaaaaaaaaaaa !!! I am landing at MCO :lmao: on the 5th of Sept at around 9AM.. I was debating if I am going to the other REALM 1st before I go to the Promise Land.. if I chicken out can I tag along for the whole day?? Unless I find Prince and Charm me away :rolleyes1

Timmie, honey chile, you are welcome to hang out with me any old time but I would not be too much fun. I do not do thrill rides and POTC is about as thrilling as I get and sometimes I cannot do that. However I am good at giving you extra FP's, holding seats for various venues and such. I can even 'vet' any potential suitors as I have already made ALL the mistakes and know what to look for - now. :rotfl: I have ADR's for Garden Grill that day but am planning on ditching that as I am going to have dinner with Pooch at Coral Reef that evening instead. All my plans are up in the air because I may end up with a plenitude of dining points or whatever. Are you gathering up everyone's cell phone numbers so that we may communicate and possibly hook up last minute in some cases? I hope so. I am saving all my Tracphone minutes for that. :woohoo:

Pooch, I forget everything and got confused. You might as well get used to it cause I will not improve in this lifetime. As far as dieting goes, I do not. I simply changed the way I used to eat and know that I must always continue the same. I have slowly evolved and am now nearly perfect, in eating habits, anyway. I go to TOPS which is much, much cheaper and is friendlier. The scales is what I need. I cannot do it at home alone as I will cheat. I am down into new numbers once again. :yay:

Ang, I feel badly at you going to this much trouble for me. Do not worry. I like Kona just fine and can meet you afterward. The beauty of watching the fireworks from the beach is that there are NO CROWDS. Afterward you saunter back to the bus stop, sit a bit and take a bus to DTD where it is a mere couple of steps to the bus that takes you back to the resort, no worries. It is a relaxing evening and sometimes I meet others similarly minded and get to know some folks that I might have missed in the throngs at MK. :cloud9:

Figment, the glory of SB is that you do not have to count anything and you can eat out too. I just eat lean meat, unlimited veggies and some fruits. There are many low carb wraps, yogurts and such to fill in the other spots. I do not lose quickly but it stays off and I continue to slide into just being fat instead of morbidly obese. It is an eating pattern I can live with for the rest of my life. I just Goggle "South Beach" to get my recipes, not that I cook much anymore. I would eat ALL of something and that is not good.

SG

what are your "perfect" eating habits? I bounce from idea to idea with no patience to let anything work. Although I have given WW numerous opportunities so I know that's out. I've heard of TOPS but have never seen one in my area.

And how is everyone else today?

Hi girls! (and guys!) Would anyone be willing to share a WW point chart with me? I've always wanted to try WW, but we can't afford any extras right now.

While we are on the topic of sharing, I'd love to share a photopass CD with a couple of others. Any takers?
