Global Disney email optin if living in Quebec

Does anyone know how to contact the global Walt Disney World Company?

I live in Quebec and all of Disney’s emails optin forms exclude Quebec. I am not talking about contests here. I am talking about receiving Newsletters and discounts announcements.

I run in the same problem whether it is for runDisney, Aulani specials, etc.

I’d like to understand why I cannot signup for and receive Disney emails if I live in Quebec and I would like to ask that question to the main corporate support.

I went to Disney World many times, took a Disney Cruise and I runDisney, yet, I feel treated like I am not worthy enough to signup to receive news or discount emails!
 
I don’t know, does it have anything to do with Quebec laws? Sorry. No idea.
 
It has to do with Quebec advertising laws unfortunately. Disney has no control over that so they can't send the emails.
While this is true for contest, I can’t see anything that prevents newsletters and promotional emails. And I get emails from many many many other businesses!

Maybe it's because of Quebec's ban on advertising to children under 13? I don't know all the ins and outs but I know that if you live in Canada and you want to buy DVC and you ask Disney for information on the product they can ONLY mail it to addresses in Alberta and Ontario.
 
It may also be related to Quebec language laws as well. Did a quick internet search and it looks like there are a number of requirements relating to the use of French language in email marketing and doing business in Quebec which apparently override the ability of subscribers to opt-in to English-only marketing emails.

For companies in the US it may not be cost-effective for them to have to meet the regulations or deal with the penalties if someone did accidently send something out in English-only so they exclude Quebec residents.

Awww come on, you know the answer, living in Quebec with your language laws. ;)

Disney does not get enough business from French Canadians to invest the money into translating *everything* into Quebecois French. They aren't going to pay a translator to re-design every single text tidbit, which they would have to do, since the Quebecois are entitled to communicate in their native language. It's just not required that everyone else communicate in French to you - unless you want them to send you something ;) there are many legislative barriers to change if you want companies to be able to advertise to Quebecois people in the company's native language, so Disney has been prohibited by Quebec from sending these emails.

So don't ask the Mouse, ask your elected representatives in Montreal!
