Glitch in the new system - 190 Day ADRs?

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Because of this thread, I was able to get Le Cellier and I haven't been in the last 3 trips (so have never eaten here before but have always wanted to!!!).

YAY for the glitch!!!!! :cool1:

Please let the glitch still be there later in the week. We are in the same boat - in 3 trips never able to get Le Cellier - out 180 day is 6/19 so hopefully we can start going day by day with reservations on 6/9:worship::worship:

It is some kind of a glitch. I got in a day early to make my ADRs for our December trip - they're all still there (ie didn't disappear). Only one I couldn't make on that day was CRT - it's still on the 'old' system.

There's a whole thread somewhere around here on it - apparently it's letting people in at 190 days instead of 180.

As of right now, there is either a glitch or a change (it's debated on the thread) that allows you to book 190 days out from date of dining.

Details are in the big thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2474755

For a quick rundown, under the new system when you pick a date over 180days out for dining, you are then asked to confirm your resort reservation. Simply putting in any resort confirmation number and a date less than or equal to 180days out will open up the extra 10.

Note that if you decide to take full advantage of this and book your whole vacation 190days out, you must do it one day at a time as there's no "190+10".

This change is subject to being fixed at any time (if it is indeed a bug, which I think it is).

I am arriving on Dec 4 and made all my ADRs yesterday. I was supposed to be Monday according to my calculations, too. At least my dining choices aren't that had to get so I was able to get what I wanted.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. At least I know it's not my computer, but what a pain! It's probably just easier to call at this point and hope for the best. I'm sure there will be cancellations, but you can't be in there all the time. Thanks again to all!!

What in the world?!

When I try to make dining ressies today I get the message:

"Did you know that your Internet Explorer is out-of-date? Our dining reservation system does not support Internet Explorer 6 or earlier versions."

Up until a few weeks ago I had no problem making dining ressies on-line. Is this just my computer?

I had a similar problem but when I put in a specific time, I received some selections. i could not get the system to search by generic breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the end, I received the time I wanted. Good luck.

There has been a few cases where the Disney site is not picking up the correct version of MSIE. This is caused by the HTTP Headers that are sent by your browser to the site. In most cases, people getting this error have their MSIE pushing both MSIE8.0 and MSIE6.0 in the header. This is causing the site to see the MSIE6.0 and throw the compatibility error.

If you are actually using MSIE6.0 (click Help->About Internet Explorer to find out the version), then you will need to update. If it is a 7.0+ version (biggest cue is the ability to have different browser tabs), then you should try a different browser (Firefox or Google Chrome). If this is not possible, then you'll have to call.

We have Internet Explorer 8, that's all I know.

:cheer2:Thank goodness for the disboard. I read this and was able to book my ADR this evening instead of waking up early tomorrow. I was able to get everything I want except for the CRT but no biggie. I could sleep in tomorrow.
:cheer2::banana:

I'm trying to book for Dec. 11. It keeps giving me an error message; of course, it is about 2 am EST. Does the ressies web-site go down at night? TIA! April

For anyone booking specialty cruises (I just booked Illuminations for 12/4) the timeline is still the 180 days +10. I was lucky as we arrive 12/3 and I was able to book 12/4.

Thanks for the information! :lovestruc Of course, now I am kicking myself for not seeing that thread and booking even a few more days early! But, I got everything that I wanted except a LeCellier dinner (we got lunch instead). What a little bit of pixie dust for some folks.

I found this thread and went on at around the same time as you last night. It was a bit wonky but I got it to work. I found that if I went back to the main page rather than trying to make another reservation on the page that had my confirmation for the last reservation on it, it worked.

I did this in the middle of the night last night after finding this and the other thread. Was able to get everything, but some of the times were off and I could only get Le Cellier lunch. I'll probably cancel that and add Via Napoli.

My arrival date is 12/4.

I don't know if I think this is a glitch with the system, since you can't make CRT, which migh indicate they're holding certain bookings back.

I have basically the same situation for our 12/4 arrival. We stumbled upon the glitch without seeing the thread on Friday night. Wish I had seen it earlier!! We got LeCellier lunch for 12/5, dinner was full. I'm okay with that because I am going to try for a Candlelight Processional package with Le Cellier when they open up. Plus, I am not that heartbroken as we have some great steakhouses at home.

I think this glitch is pretty interesting stuff. It seems like a bunch of long time disney fans are getting dream ressies that they have not been able to get before. I kind of like that aspect:hug:

I don't fit into the category of folks who have tried for years to get certain ressies because this is only my second time going with my family (I went once as a youngster.) But, this is a dream vacation for my family of 5 with 2 grandparents and I certainly feel blessed to get the ressies we wanted.

I do feel sorry for folks that are waiting for the 180 day and possibly find that some things are gone. Of course, if I really want to make a point of that, I guess I should cancel my ressies, but I don't find myself willing to do that:rolleyes1

I guess for the overall good, I hope that Disney either announces a change in their policy, or fixes the glitch.

Congrats! Wishing you lots of pixie dust in getting the ADR's you wantpixiedust:pixiedust:

A few weeks ago Disney started a new way to search for reservations...it started towards the end of May (the 25th maybe.) It might be the new dining search that is causing you problems.

There are CHRONIC glitches with the dining reservation system....sooooo frustrating! While the newer version is nicer....it's really only nicer if it is working....which it usually isn't! UGH!
