Glitch in the new system - 190 Day ADRs?

Just be aware if this is a glitch in the system one blogger I read this morning thinks Disney might cancel any reservations that used "fake" resort reservation numbers to go the 190 day glitch to work. Seems like a possibility so I'd check on my ADRs if you've done this if/when the glitch is fixed.

Yeah, I wonder how that idea started getting around :rolleyes1 (at least around these parts...)

In reality, it all depends on the way the system is set up. We know that there is no direct link between resort confirmations and ADRs. At least in the sense that one can be canceled without affecting the other. We also know that a user doesn't need a resort confirmation to book an ADR at all (except within the 180+10). What we don't know is if the resort confirmation is stored with the ADR at all or if it just drives the codebase on the front-end.

If it were within the first couple of days that the bug was found, then maybe running a script to sort out proper vs improper ADRs would be plausible. However, they have let it sit for awhile (I would have reverted back to v1 until this bug got fixed) and it's gotten quite huge, I'm sure. The fact that those starting this are now within their 180 day mark makes it even more difficult, as you won't be able to directly tell them from those making them when they "should" have.

However, that's not to say it's "too hard". If their database is set up decently (which, as we all know, I doubt :p), it would be a matter of comparing resort confirmations with check-in dates against the dining date and creation date for the ADR. It could be done with a fairly simple SQL query. (Assuming they use SQL back-end, although other architectures couldn't be that much different in difficulty).

Ok where the heck do you put in your reservation information? I can not seem to find anywhere to put it. When I just go into my reservations and put in my reservation number it says there was an error and I can not get my information at this time. Thankfully I went in to play a few days before I can start making my ADRS.

Try clicking the date that you need on the calendar. Search for your dinner time, but not specific restaurant.

It will tell you that you need to sign in with your email and resort confirmation number. If your confirmation number doesn't work, try entering 12345678.

That should work for you.

Just to be safe, I rebooked most of mine for the exact same time or as it turns out even better times. I didn't get up early, normal saturday time and in between reading the paper redid most but not all. As previous posters mentioned, I don't believe they would have been cancelled but when it comes to dining reservations, especially those in demand such as Cal Grill, Jiko, Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys and O'hana, I thought it was better to be safe than sorry.

I crossed my fingers and went ahead and made some of my ADR's based on this glitch. Our check in day is 12-11-10 and I was able to book for 12-11, 12-12, 12-13 and 12-14. So far I have gotten everything we wanted:

12-11 Lunch Whispering Canyon
Dinner California Grill

12-12 Lunch Nine Dragons
Dinner Yachtman Steakhouse

12-13 Breakfast Tusker
Dinner Narcoossee

12-14 Lunch Coral Reef
Dinner Chef de France

This thread really should be a "sticky"...

So I made all our ADR's except for one early because of the glitch. Well I just went and checked to make sure that they were still there on the Disney website and THEY ARE GONE!! I even tried putting in all my reservation number, it didn't work. So I went to my email and tried to open up the confirmations and the emails were not from disney, the address said it was from disney but when I opened it one was from Costco and another was from Facebook, really weird. I guess I am going to have to do it all over again this Saturday :confused3. Has this happened to anyone else?

For a moment you had me...

Thanks to this thread, I've made all of our ADRs for our December trip except CRT and gotten everything we wanted. There was only one where we didn't get the exact time we wanted, and that's because we have a large party and got a separate table warning on the time we wanted and had to adjust a little because we didn't want to risk being separated. So excited :thumbsup2!

i still have all mine?

Anyone have anything nice to say about coral reef.. i wanted to go but all ive read are bad things about it!

We went one time, and it was great. To be fair, I don't have a lot of experience with Table service dining at Disney. It may be that the others are way better, but I was extremely happy with it. It is a little bit more "Stuffy" than others, but it's got a really awesome fish tank, so I'm hoping it keeps the kids entertained. :)

We just rebooked it for this december.

Hey, I just wanted to post that I talked to a CM yesterday when I made my Fantasmic dinner reservation. He told me that it's not a glitch, but most likely a promotion to get people to book online.

Take this with a grain of salt, because he wasn't 100%.

Phone CMs have been known to not provide the best information. If it was a promotion, it probably should be promoted ;). (Officially, Disney has been silent about the issue.)

There's reports of another CM (somewhere in this beast) stating that it's a known bug with the website as well. So we're still don't have the answer.

Mine are still there, too. As expected.

We like Coral Reef for lunch but I've never been there for dinner. It is kind of expensive but you can't beat the view of the fish!

The menu changes but the lobster bisque is great. There's a chicken and spaetzle dish at lunch that I like a lot.

Perhaps we should ask a bus driver. :rotfl:
