glider boards?

has anyone rented a stroller with the glider board attachment? It seams like i would be kicking it a lot when walking... Is that the case or is it completely wonderful?
 
It took a little getting used to (had to modify my stride a little) but worked great for us! Just watch the weight limits, we almost broke one on a rental...
