Glennbo’s City, Sand, and Savanna PTR - TR Link (pg 73)

Your reputation is on the line. :)
not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
:rolleyes1
I didn't realize you could order different kinds....I'll have to remember that. Pat had a good idea -- make Lauren the designated driver.

on second thought i think they took away the rum punch stuff, and now just offer the free beer and wine.

they were great about refilling our drinks quickly

I'll probably be able to find something so I don't starve!

"Poofed", huh? Let me guess what's coming next.
that reminded me of the chapter after my luau where the kid on the monorail farted onus.
:rotfl:

I do now. Reckon I ought to change that.

By the Power of Greyskull!!!!!!!!!!!!

He Man!

POOOOOOOOOOOOF

Aw now that was just unnecessary.

:rotfl:

Glenn, you truly do have quite a following.

I appreciate all my readers, and especially posters. :goodvibes

I already am a DisMom Groupie and now I fell like I am a Glennbo Groupie.

Good news....we are now accepting applicatons.

Anyway, getting back to the important stuff, your ADRs look great.

Oh nuts, I thought we could talk about me some more.

We were supposed to do Prime Time on our last trip for lunch when we had DXDP, but it was our last day and we were so full we were dying. Lesson learned to never do DXDP again even though my boys swore up front it was not going to be enough food. I guess I digressed again. I will be curious to hear your thoughts as it seems to have mixed reviews.

My thoughts on Prime Time, right? 'Cause we've never done the dining plan.

When we ate there a couple of years ago we liked it. It may be a little pricy for the type of food, but it's a sit-down meal in a theme park so that's par for the course. I had the pot roast and it was good. The onion rings were outstanding.

We have not been to Boma for a few trips. Really miss those Zebra Domes. Definitely will have to get there on our next trip. Good call by Judy.

Yes, she was not willing to skip that one....at all.

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks!

Soo was there any particular reason you had to explain it:confused3;):rotfl2::rotfl2:

I was letting you off the hook -- you notice I didn't mention any names! But since you asked, yes, yes there was a reason I had to explain it. A certain someone said, "so, what does Judy think of all these people on the internet looking for her in every picture?"

I have had an interesting week !!!I posted a "No Coffee in mouth " update this evening!!!

I read it!

There's no way for me to keep up with you...I just don't get here often enough! I missed all your games, though I enjoyed reading about the results.

No worries. Participate at your own pace.

Your ADRs look great. I am jealous of the Boma and Flying Fish ADRs. The kiddos are too picky. We're actually travelling with very adventurous eaters, but our kids would be obnoxious. Actually, DH would be obnoxious at Flying Fish, too. Not a seafood fan. (Ok, he wouldn't be obnoxious - he'd be gracious - but it's obnoxious that I don't get seafood very often because of him. Does that work? ;)) Looks like you will be well-fed during your trip!popcorn::

I understand what you mean....you're outnumbered by picky eaters and that's obnoxious!

And catching up on your posts also made me realize that I really need to get to work on our ADRs as well...ugh! Time is going WAAAYYY too fast for me at this point! I haven't even figured out my 180 days, and we've had our deposit down for several weeks. Such a disney planning slacker!

You better get to it! The early bird gets the worm. I realize that doesn't sound like a really good choice if you've got picky eaters, but you know what I mean.

I've been missing all of the contests! :sad1:

And you would have done so well, I know!

I love how you sent survey out to the family members.
Only you could make reading such long result descriptions entertaining! :thumbsup2

Thanks. We’re aiming for fun here.

We really loved Biergarten our last visit & I've been struggling trying to decide if we should go back or try something new. The kids really want to go back.

Your kids must be on the same wavelength as mine.

I'm jealous of your dinner show at the Poly. I want to try that so bad!!!!!

Well, somewhere I saw that you’re planning a new trip….so, indulge!

not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
:rolleyes1

It could go either way!

Dang, I wanted the rum punch.

Thanks for the refresher. Yeah, I think I’ll do all right. You had thirds! No wonder we couldn’t give you any of our appetizers later on that evening, even though we begged you to have some.

that reminded me of the chapter after my luau where the kid on the monorail farted onus.
:rotfl:

Incoming!

The good news for you.........there is only one direction it could go...... :rolleyes1

It’s funny you say that -- you have no idea how close I was to writing “salvage your reputation” instead! :rotfl2:

Whew, I'm finally caught up again.

It looks like I missed all kinds of fun and games. I have to say I did enjoy getting caught back up.

Put me down on the list of peeps suggesting CH in the MK. We love that place. The perfect place to get away from the crowds. And the foods good too. Michelle had the lobster roll and loved it.

All your ADRs sound great. Some I've had and some I haven't so I'm really looking forward to your reviews. Sign me up for the trip report too. You did say you were taking applications, right?

Dang, I wanted the rum punch.
you could always bring your own in a water bottle if you wanted.
:thumbsup2

i think you will as well, i am expecting to see many empty plates that they bring you in your report...there are enough male dances that you can eat then concentrate on the show during the female ones.

We missed you on the games, but glad you're caught up now. :)

Thanks, it's moving up on the list of possibles...might depend on where we are in the park at lunchtime though. We've eaten there at least once, maybe back in 2001 or 2005. Lobster roll sounds good!

Most of the places we've eaten at before, but there are a few new ones in there....Flying Fish, GF Tea, the Spirit of Aloha Luau.

Checking in for the second night in a row !!!:banana:

Oh yeah, oh yeah. :dance3:

i think you will as well, i am expecting to see many empty plates that they bring you in your report

I doubt that I'll be able to keep pace with your total, but we'll do our best.

:rotfl2:
That's a good way to look at it!

yes Rosie, I am glad I took your warning seriously. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

You always have to be careful on the DIS, and you never know what you're going to read on Rosie's thread...what with pole dancing and that Piglet photo.

Hey !!!!;):rotfl2:I am still surprised that the Lap Dance with Stitch didn't evoke the same horror as Piglet did :confused3:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I guess I will have to find yet another lap:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

:thumbsup2Your ADRs look like lots of fun! I'll be most interested to see how your parents react to the Prime Time and to the Luau!

For some reason that Piglet one really affected me.

Thanks. They've been to Hawaii so I think they'll enjoy the Luau, and I'm sure the cast members will get them on the dance floor. I can't wait to hear what they say about all the stuff in 50's...they'll probably call it "newfangled". :rotfl:

Great ADR's!
the picture of the onion rings was just cruel!

I loved all of your "credits" under the pictures:laughing:

I do wonder if Judy ever had a desire to become a real life where's waldo?

Great ADR's!

Thanks. I'd like to visit any one of them right now!

the picture of the onion rings was just cruel!

I know...you can taste them right through that picture, can't you? Mmmm, nom nom.

I loved all of your "credits" under the pictures:laughing:

Thanks! For some reason the small font attracts even more attention, so I knew they'd be read.

I do wonder if Judy ever had a desire to become a real life where's waldo?

You know what...I don't think so! :rotfl:

Quick Update

We had a very nice visit from Gram and Poppy this past weekend. Regarding Disney trip planning, we made some good progress on a few different fronts. It was kind of funny that the progress was made either within a few minutes of their arrival or a few minutes before their departure…the in-between time was taken up by other things: meals, yard work, watching basketball, going to church, etc.

Shortly after I got home from work on Friday afternoon and greeted them, my mom said something about how they were shopping and had difficulty getting around. She said that they looked at each other and said, “How are we going to handle all of the walking at Disney?” I took that as an opportunity to bring up the subject of possibly renting them a couple of wheelchairs. I said, “I’ve been worried about that too. It’s not just the lines, but there’s sooo much area to cover just to get around the parks. Can I look into renting some wheelchairs for you? We would be happy to push.” She said that I can “look into it”. ;) Considering the pride issue, which I can totally understand, that’s a big deal. So, I spent some time in the DISabilities forum last night, doing a little research. :surfweb:

The next thing I brought up was that the Photopass CD pre-order price is going up. It’s currently $99, but after March 21st it’ll be $129. I wasn’t sure if we wanted to get it because we may be a little more scattered this trip, letting the kids go off and do their own thing at their own pace, which may not lend itself to a lot of group photos. But we decided to go ahead, so I put that order in on Friday night.

The last item occurred Sunday as they were packing up to go home. I was talking about what we still need to do to prepare for the trip and mentioned ordering park tickets for them. Since I had talked to my Mom about Universal when I originally brought up the idea, for my Dad’s benefit I said that we planned to spend four days in the Disney parks and then on Friday we were planning to go to a non-Disney park that was Harry Potter-themed. He said, “Aw, I’m not into Harry Potter. You guys can go ahead and we’ll just spend the day at the resort.” So, it looks like it’ll work out for us to tour Islands of Adventure at whatever pace that we can bear that day (or that the crowds will permit).

It's good that they're ok with the wheel chair option. I know pride can be hard to over come as far as asking for a little help. Plus, the kids can drag race with them.

Hello :) I just came across your PTR and am staring to read it. It looks fun and I can't wait to read about all your plans!

One thing I miss since moving here to the Disney area is the pre-trip planning. It was so much fun to have a WDW vacation on the horizon and plan and dream of the fun.

Of course it's super fun being able to go all the time, but I miss that planning part. Reading PTR's bring back good memories :goodvibes

Zero Judys!

Smart move on the wheelchairs. You want everyone to enjoy themselves and if your parents get worn out too quickly, that would stink! When we went with my 79 year old fil, he was having some health issues and I really, really wanted to rent him something to help. He flat out refused and then nearly passed out in AK! I was so upset because I thought he was going to pass out but we caught him before he hit the ground.

Good call on the Photopass CD. We've only used it once I think since I enjoy using my own camera way too much! I even have a new lens and can't wait to try it out next trip.

So your parentals are staying behind? Perfect for you guys then! Oh, that sounded harsh but it's not what I meant. I recall you saying that you all wanted to tour commando and that would be hard with your parents.

Sounds like plans are shaping up nicely Glenn.
