Have you taken any Tylenol or Ibuprofen? They also sell numbing gel/liquid for mouth pain (Oragel is one brand.)

And no, the pain didn't go away. It's not overbearing, but it is annoying and swallowing food isn't fun.

Yeah I have some of that numbing gel. Thanks everyone. I'll just have to eat extra in two weeks to ease the pain.

Is it a wisdom tooth at all? I had the sort of the same problem but found out i have TMJ. I would do what ever is good for you but def. get an appt. with the dentist before you go just to see if it is a wisdom tooth.

Can't wait to see you at HOME!!!

Yeah it helps, I haven't been using it too much. I hate feeling like I "need" those things. I'm stubborn.

I am not positive that it's a tooth, I can't see any, but it hurts right behind my last tooth on the bottom right. If I feel around and compare that side to the other side.. the other side's gum is flatter and not as raised. The gums on the right side is pushed right against the last tooth. When I got x-rays at 17 they said I'd have to get them removed if they ever started to grow in because they're slanted.

I'm going to make an appointment if it still hurts tomorrow. My tonsils kind of hurt on the right side, it might just be an infection and I need antibiotics. Who knows.. just figures that it happens before vacation! Isn't that always the way? haha

I had my wisdom teeth pulled in Orlando... not fun. I was in Nuclear Power School (Navy) sitting in class when I got a note to see the dentist at lunch. They pulled all four and sent me back to class for the afternoon. (I didn't even get my lunch.. not that I wanted any after the fact). I had no clue they were doing this and to this day still think they had the wrong person....

I remember all the funny looks when I got back to class and trying to answer questions with all the guaze, blood, and saliva in my mouth, lol.
Oh well.. it was one less thing I had to worry about.

Glad your internet is back! I don't even have a TV in my apartment (I barely ever watched it in college, decided I didn't need to pay $50/mo for cable.) I couldn't live if my internet went down for that long!

I know what you mean so close but so far away. I have so much to do before I leave. I still have some painting to do (I thought I was done until I pulled tape up last night) and found that my new paint came up along with the tape I was so I could have just spit nails.
