PEople like that don’t deserve to live.

And porn isn’t the problem. Sick people are the problem.

I have zero issues with adults consenting to porn. It’s not even on the same realm as kiddie porn.

And girls watch porn just like men do. Some maybe even more than men. Porn isn’t a only mans thing anymore.

Ok, I’m always preaching bring this nastiness into the light and then it cannot fester and grow, so here it goes. Im a survivor of being wayyyy more than molested from 3-9 at the hands of a 27 year old. I read a bunch of these stories about him committing suicide, how horrible it is(and suicide is a horrible thing in most cases) and how he was a quiet and gentle person. It makes me so sick to my stomach. He had pictures of TODDLERS! There is no excuse for that in my book. He took the cowards way out.....rage over, just my humble opinion

I am really sorry to hear that you went through something so horrific.
I think you are right-it needs to be in the open and people need to push back on this glossing over after the fact.
No gentle loving soul would do this.

It was a horrific experience that I kept a secret until I was 26 years old. I’ve had a lot of therapy and I truly believe that there are special places in hell for horrible people. My predator died a horrible death when I was 17. Knowing what I went through, I cannot imagine being taped or photographed. There has to be a special place in hell for people who do this to kids and for people who watch that horror.

many bad people hide in plain sight. believe me, if they appeared to be monsters outwardly, so many of us would have never been abused. some of the "nicest" appearing people are true monsters on the inside and prey.... that's why those of us that asked for help never received it, therefore we just give up, because this person is just perceived as 'too nice' to do something like that.

I don't think that's really a fair assessment of them. They may have raised him in the right conditions to foster it, they may not have. For all we know they're normal, upstanding people.

And "the right conditions" could have been something outside of their control/awareness, if he was himself victimized. Their role in it may very well have been as simple as trusting the wrong friend or family member when their son was young. No matter how it came about, both hsi crimes and his death are the sorts of things parents never forgive themselves for, wondering if it is something they did/didn't do, if there was some way they could have prevented it, etc.

I haven't been able to finish watching Glee since this came to light and I don't think I'll be able to pick up watching it in the future. It's absolutely sickening to think about what he was doing just..

And I do agree with others regarding the parents. They did lose a son. Presently I'm unaware of information reflecting the parents knew their son was into kiddie porn nor am I aware presently of information reflecting they raised him to be into kiddie porn.

They can file a claim against his estate, if it even comes to that. I doubt anyone wants anymore strife in this situation and look for a settlement.

Really hope the victims can still collect the agreed upon compensation. I've heard, it may be an issue because of his death.

I had a former student (I knew him K-12) who was arrested in his mid 20s for this same thing (although not the same quantity). He went to prison for some years, has since been released, and now is living and working quietly in the area. His sister, who taught at a local Catholic school, was fired immediately. His parents (who worked for the same public school district I did) quietly resigned and went to work elsewhere. I don't know what they knew or didn't know, but I do know that none of the rest of us in their social circles had any inkling of what kind of a person he was. He was a geek, a loner, poor social skills, etc, but none of us knew the blackness within him.

I cannot imagine having someone in my family like that.

I truly hope his victims can get his entire estate.

For those who say prison would have meant a certain death for him - in federal prison, at least, it is against every rule for you to discuss "why" you are in, or why others are in.
