A search warrant included in his subsequent plea agreement stated that more than 50,000 images of child pornography were found on his computer and a thumb drive.I feel badly for his family, but possession of child pornography is not "an error in judgement".

Yeah, he was in his 30s and had 50,000 images, including preschoolers. Not an error in judgement

Since, even in prison, pedophilia is considered the lowest, scummiest form of crime and the inmates have their own way of dealing with pedophiles, it seems Salling took the easy way out.I wonder how people like this are wired? I wonder if he ever molested a child, or was molested himself?According to the article in the OP, it adds:
"The content depicted children as young as 3 years old being abused, according to court documents."
It’s usually part of the “Dark Web” or whatever it’s called and really hard to track... According to all of the crime shows I watch haha. There has to be some accountability to the internet for allowing this garbage.
Charter, my Internet and tv provider told me what I am recording on my tv. I am sure if they looked at my internet. They could see my address and see what I am looking at too. Why, oh why is pornography allowed.
What he down loaded on his computer is so wrong-but this whole industry is wrong and it is not going away.
But I wonder, are you born like this?

I agree with it not being comparable, but porn has ruined many relationships. I know 3 couples getting divorced, because the husbands are addicted to watching porn. One guy has destroyed his computer for his wife and he has to stay away from everything that has anything to do with porn. It still wasn't enough, they are still separated and both are in intensive therapy. While personally not a fan of pornography myself, these two things are just not comparable. "Child pornography" is really a misnomer. It is child abuse, plain and simple and cannot be compared to videos of what consenting adults willingly engage in.
And it won't go away. It is the oldest industry in the world.
Porn didn't ruin their relationship. The "addict", their behavior and the relationship did. Accountability, a characteristic all need.I agree with it not being comparable, but porn has ruined many relationships.
