Pretty standard for GQ if you ask me. That said, sexualizing high school students is bad. Families of middle school and high school students are watching this show together. I don't like it but...the stars of that show are all adults, not children and it IS a very racy show to begin with. Hmmmm. Gonna be thinking about this for a while.

On the bright side we don't need to buy GQ.

And, the kids are still very pretty, abet dressed slightly.

The stars are adults. The magazines targets an adult (not teen) audience. The show appeals to a wide variety of ages (not only teens --plenty of adults without kids watch the show of their own accord). I don't really see the big deal.

I think it is pretty racy. Lea Michele looks a word that I can't type here on the disboards :rolleyes1 I think she might be sick of being typecast as the goody goody and is certainly breaking that stereotype in these pics!

I thought the same thing. The other cast members weren't too bad but ALL of the Lea Michele pics are :scared1:

I think there are a lot of people getting all bent out of shape over absolutely nothing. Three actors, adults all, one coming up on 30, posing for a men's magazine in a manner consistent with many other pictorials presented in that magazine before. Much ado about nothing.

I really don't see anything wrong with the pics. They are grown adults well over 21 posing in an mag, as long as its not Teen People, then I see nothing wrong with it. If you don't like it, don't buy the mag, and if your kids are seeing it, then you should ask YOURSELF why, and not the actors and photographers. Just my opinion!:)

As a proud Gleek, I will say that these actor/singers are talented. They didn't need to appear like this to get my attention.

Interesting.... we should check the ratings for the next episode of Glee, and see if the pictorial has any impact.

Agreed. I am absolutely SHOCKED that these pics are being compared to pedophilia!

I like the headline from ABC "Should Parents be angry over racy spread?

The Parents television council denounced the pics. I don't know about them but I don't let my kids read GQ. :confused3
I don't have a problem with the pics, they are not for children, but neither is the show.

Glee is on the FOX network! The same channel that bought us 9 years of Married with Children, and Who Wants To Marry A Millionaire! The other day, my DS8 and I were watching the Dallas Cowboy game and he asked me "Mama, whats erictile dysfunction?" I look up and that darn commercial was on. With the man and the woman sitting in bathtubs on the beach, smiling watching the sun set. I HATE THOSE COMMERCIALS! Its everywhere, and as long as you are raising your kids and are willing to keep the communication open, I just don't see anything wrong with it. You can't keep these kind of things away from the kids, you have to talk to them. My DD15 and I watch Glee every Tuesday night. We do a girls night. Last week, we did facial masks and we were painting our toes when she saw Santana & Britney making out, her mouth dropped, and of course, we talked about afterwards. Again, I didn't see anything wrong with it, it gave us a good reason to discuss the issue.

This is just the kind of ridiculous lunacy that we've come to expect from the PTC.

As most everyone said the actors are adults so I have no idea why this is even a story. No one should look to actors or, even worse, fictional television characters for how to live their life so what they decide to do in any magazine should have no bearing on your life or your child's.

Anyone who doesn't like the magazine can exercise their free will to not purchase it and anyone who doesn't' like the show or it's "message" can turn it off and not allow their children to watch it. Seems pretty simple, doesn't it?

I've never thought of Glee as a "very racy show"...

In any case, I'm not worried about impressionable children reading GQ. So I don't think parents have anything to "get up in arms" about.

Can't stand the show... tired of hearing about the actors... but I just don't get what the big deal is.

I kind of understood when people questioned Miley Cyrus pics because of her age. But all three of these actors are adults. If the show wasn't doing as well as it is, I'd suspect that they started the brouhaha just to grab attention, but God knows that's the last thing they need!

If anything, the media attention this spread has been given has given way more exposure than normal, and kids who would never have opened a GQ can now see every single picture. But again, I don't have a problem with it. The fact that the media or the PTC or whoever is touting it as taboo is just advertising for GQ.

I watch glee and my kids will not. Even though the show takes place in a high school it is NOT like high school musical or other teen shows. The topics are very mature and like the Madonna "like a virgin " scene. I can't believe how many of DDs friends watch it! I thought the pictures were racier than the show, but these adults can pose in a magazine if they choose.

The photos are not pedophilia but they characterize something very close to it. The women are adults but dressed up like saucy little Lolitas. It reminds me of one of the tricks of the porn industry where they hire just-barely 18 year old teens to pose as middle-school children so the pedophiles can get their rocks off "legally". I bet that issue of GQ will be loved by many.

Holy cow those are racy!

I really don't have a problem with it, but WOW.

I agree with those who say it's more of an adult show and if you're going to let your youngun's watch it, then you need to put up with the adult innuendos that go along with it, just like any other Fox type of show.
