Glee/GQ -what about those pics?

My thoughts, with pictures like those who needs Playboy? But I also thought the same thing about the TrueBlood cover of Rolling Stone, I blushed just seeing it on Facebook, couldn't imagine hanging around B&N with the kiddos.

Is it just me or is the aim anymore with magazines/print in general to shock it audience make a kerfluffle in order to get more people to purchase said magazine? Just a question as I can't remember the last time I actively bought a magazine as I do the ZReader thing.
