Glasses and Rides

I agree with GrandBob - Croakies. DH wears glasses and can't wear contacts comfortably, so he wears croakies. He does forget to pack them sometimes, though, but you can find them in the park. I think we have 3 or 4 pair now! ;) I don't know what they cost regularly, but at DLR they are around $5.

I am pretty sure he doesn't wear the croakies on every ride, though. I know for sure he wears them on Screamin' and ToT, but other than that, I can't remember.

I wear my sunglasses on almost every ride, since I seem to be really susceptible to the bright sun and end up squinty and with a headache and I haven't had a problem with them flying off. :cool2:

Never had any problems with my glasses, my baseball cap is a different story though.

I believe they tell you not to wear them on Maliboomer in DCA. But if not, dont wear them. One time I went on the ride and DH was below with our son who was too small to ride at the time. Someones sunglasses flew off and shattered like glass on the ground beside them.

The only time glasses become a problem is on wet rides, like Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run, simply because they get wet, which is annoying. Can't see with millions of water droplets on your glasses, can't see if you don't wear them at all. So when I ride Splash I'm always having to quickly wipe them off after each drop in order to see the next show scene.

As far as having them feel like they're going to fall off on a Disney roller coaster...nope, never had that problem. The rides don't go that fast (compared to other coasters) and as long as the glasses fit you right, they shouldn't go anywhere.
