Glass bottom boat excursion?

Has anyone been on that Nassau excursion? Since we won't be snorkeling, I thought it'd be nice to see the coral reef this way. Still undecided, but would like to take the tour that goes to castle, queen's staircase, etc.
Any comments on either?

I went on the glass bottom boat in Nassau on my 2001 Wonder cruise. I enjoyed the tour around the harbor and a great view of Atlantis i also loved just being out on the boat but didn't see too much from the glassbottom boat...a couple fishes and a little bit of the coral reef....but that was it....

The reply above is basically what I have heard throughout the boards on this excursion. I had originally booked it for our family of 5 for next week but then changed it to Atlantis as this seems to be more reliable. With the glass bottom you are reliant on the weather too much plus when you finally do get out to the reef you are not guaranteed that you will see anything. Atlantis is a place we have always been interested in and you can see everything up close.

We have been on both excursions. On the glass bottom boats we saw lots of tropical fish and it works pretty good if you have younger kids. But if it's too windy they will not take you to see any reefs or the shipwreck they advertise in their brochure. It was a good excursion.
WE DID THE HISTORICAL TOUR LAST dECEMBER AND ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH. lOTS OF INTERESTING HISTORICAL INFORMATION FROM YOUR GUIDE. yOU CAN HIKE UP THE STAIRCASE AND MEET YOUR GUIDE AT THE TOP WHERE THE FORT IS OE YOU CAN RIDE UP TO THE FORT. I would recommend both excursions, although kids may be bored on the historical tour. Both excursions are worth the money and time.
We have done 5 disney cruises, and have #6 and #7 booked. Have a great cruise.
