I have always been amazed by the things they make at this shop. I was wondering if anyone knew if they make keychains or other small things? If they do, do you know what they look like? anyone have pictures or prices? also, are they very fragile? thanks!

I don't know if they make keychains, but they definitely have some small criiter figures. My DS got some on our last trip. (I remember him hetting one that ws a frog, but can't remmeber the other two). They are pretty sturdy...made it through the trip home and he still has them somewhere in his room! Also, there is a shop that sells the figures near the Pirates of the Carribean ride (or at least there used to be one, but they do not actually blow the glass there like they do in the one on Main Street)...

Hope this helps!

Wow - I didn't even know there was a glass-blowing shop on main street. Dh and I love to watch glass-blowing. We always enjoyed watching it at our local Renaissance Festival!

yea i LOVE watching it! lol. its on the right side as your walking in toward the castle, after the candy shop. i think its also connected to the store that sells jewlery and watches.

We watched the guy in Arribas Brothers at DTD and the guy in Mexico at Epcot, they were amazing! The DTD guy was making glass fruit and the Epcot guy was making Cinderella's Castle. It was so interesting to watch him make the tiny pieces for the turrets, it was like lace!

I don't know much about the cost but I know they make a lot of different little pieces.

is this a working studio or just a store?
It sounds like they are making things...but are they gathering molten glass and making these things?

BF and I are bothi interested in glass blowing...thinking about taking classes at Corning...So this would be very cool!

Am I crazy??..or does it seem that once someone posts about wanting to know about something, someone else has a question very similar to the same thing.. i just posted a thread about Arribas Brothers today wondering if they made a specific item i'm looking for and did a search before posting about it and then i saw this!! so odd.....

the one at Epcot in Mexico makes a bunch of little things....

lots of pieces for under $10.

but I have never looked for a keychains.

I love their dragons!!!! not to mention cats! :cat: paw: also they had some cute dogs and cars - a bunch of stuff...

their biggest seller is the Mickey Mouse and Minne Mouse - also even in the tiny version - they cost more than others things of the same size.

I don't remember the one on main street with having the cheaper prices on anything. I couldn't find anything less than $50 there. too high for my budget.

Mexico has some really cute stuff at a reasonable cost.

some of my dragons were $3.50!!!! :cheer2:

DD loves those stores. They have some tiny little critters that they make - I think DD has a turtle and a swan. She got a "Bambi" in Mexico. I love the stuff at Arribas brothers too - we have a palm tree with Mickey, a dragon and a flamingo!!!

here's a question though . . . has anyone ever WATCHED them make the tiny things? I'd wonder if those were mass produced as I'm sure they sell quite well and faster than the glass-blower would be able to make them there.

I have two Mickey Mouse figurines from the shop on Main Street in the MK, about 3 1/2"-4" tall, and they were both $29.95. One is Steamboat Willie, one is Sorceror Mickey...and I will be adding another one when we go in December, hopefully the Brave Little Tailor if they have it! If they have a small castle around $50 I would get that instead of Mickey. Maybe. The huge castle is incredibe...make sure you look at it...they sell them, (to people with a lot more $$ than I have!) so when you go, you may see a different one each trip!

I have a keychain bought from there. It's one of those 3D picture things of Tigger. I think it was $15 - $20.

I might have to give the MK another try... but I don't know Mexico seems like a bargin...

both places have the castle. and yes I saw the one at MT - it is lovely - but isn't the price in the thousand - or are we talking about something different?

I think so - he made one of those little dog when we were there - but you are probably right - they have boxes with what is inside for each piece. if they were made there would have these little boxes with what is inside - so easy available????

is the one on main street a studio? or do they do just small things at a table...thanks

All these stores are operated by The Arribas Bros. store. DVC members get a discount, but only at the DTD location.
