Have you emailed Disney about the changes to the mugs and glasses in studio units?

If so, what has been the response you recieved.

Edit to explain what was meant by the choices:

The "escalation" seems to go like this:

First you get a canned email.

Then you might get another email about "forwarding your concerns along" (I consider that "canned" too).

Then you might get a call from a "live person" or a "direct email" from someone (a "live" person) who actually ADRESSES your concern.

I got a phone call on Saturday from a DVC rep following up on the e-mail I had sent in.

Maybe because I cc'ed Jim Lewis and Bob Iger?

Seems like they're "sampling" the complaints and calling back a few of the people who've emailed....but not (at least not so far) everyone.

Whoops...well I got 2 what I considered "canned" responses from Todd. So, my vote should have been canned from a person. He was forwarding it to Members Satisfaction. I actually have sent 3 e-mails, and all 3 were forwarded but I don't recall the name of the other person who forwarded one.

PS. I have also sent 2 postal letters and have heard nothing regarding them. The first was sent Monday of last week and the second on Thursday.

I've gotten two e mails, the first canned, automatic. The second from "Larry".

I think that's the "escalation".

Then you might get a call from a "live person" or a "real email" directly from someone who actually ADRESSES your concern.

...that I'm assuming came from DVC as I wasn't home & they did not leave a message but it had the 407 area code.

I also sent 3 mailed letters last week, one to Member Services, one to Jim Lewis & one to the Environmental Initiatives group. I have not heard anything back on those.

So far I only have the canned email response BUT I only just emailed yesterday and I mailed a letter today to Lewis. I will mail a letter to Dept of EP this week too.....

I'm not sure there really is a "Todd" or a "Larry." Except for when "Larry" really made a "boo-boo" saying there were never ceramic mugs and glasses in the studios, the e-mails we're getting about our e-mails being forwarded to Member Satisfaction seem to be form letters.

I go ttwo Canned responses, the first was the usual acknowledgement of my letter, the second was from "Larry" stating it would be passed on.

I just emailed today, around 4:20PM. I sent one through the DVC site and another directly to the Member Satisfaction team. I've gotten 3 responses, all canned, and only one w/ a name attached to it...Nyla.

I taught a Nyla in kinder, oh....about 25 years ago....wonder if she's working for Disney now?

I've gotten no response, but this was to my second Email, this time to the DVC members' satisfaction team. The first one, from "Larry" at DVC customer service, lied to me by telling me that coffee cups had always been styrofoam, and that glasses were being converted to plastic.

For the couple of you that have talked to a real live representative...

What's the story? Did they give you any information? or just getting your opinion?

I apologize if this has already been posted. Could someone point me in right direction if it has.

I'm curious to hear the type of conversations that are being had as well. :surfweb:

I got a call on Saturday from John at DVC to follow up on the email I sent.

Basically he said that they had been tasked with following up and gathering additional feedback from members and wanted to know if there was anything else I wanted to add to my list of concerns. As my email was pretty extensive and detailed, there really wasn't much to add.

When done gathering feedback, they are going to report back to senior management at DVC about the members concerns, and while he could not give a timeframe or any promises of any changes, he did say that they had received a number of complaints and were taking the opinions of the members seriously.

Two canned responses. So since the five days has passed, I sent an honest to goodness snail mail letter to Jim Lewis this morning.

Is no news good news? Or are they just hoping it will blow away???
Bobbi
