WAMUMOF4 thanks for the link! I floated the idea to DH...no response. Good news in some ways, he didn't say no! He said "No" outright to the Dallas flight sale. Sigh...can't win them all!

I am sorry to hear that the children are very unlikely to come. It is a shame. Even though it would help tremendously with cost, I would imagine that a trip like this with the whole family involved would be somewhat priceless.

wow, i'm sad for you that you won't be going as a family, but so happy that you get to do a trip that means a huge deal to you personally, and is a travel experience you have always wanted!!! i think your kids have made a very mature, responsible decision and i'm sure that this will be one of those 'trip of a lifetime' trips -- i'm wishing you all the very best for it as it sounds truly amazing and like such a wonderful experience

Thanks alicia we are a bit sad not to have all four kids with us but it will be a great experience for us to have with our 2 youngest kids and unlike America that we will never have enough of DH and I are calling this our once in a lifetime trip and i promise you it will be because of the price DH gave me a lecture yesterday about not telling any of our friends how much it cost because he doesn't want any negative comments to ruin it for us the one thing i know i don't have to worry about with my disboard friends

Thanks shushh how did you go working on DH about this cruise? There are only cat 10and 11 left which made it only a touch cheaper than if we had 2 cabins and all of us went but i am very happy to be having a balcony.
