Gratitude - Today I'm thinking of my parents, both in their late 70s and still very active. I am grateful to have them, and I have enjoyed some short trips with each individually, and gotten to hear stories of their childhoods and the early days of their marriage. While we were by no means a perfect family, I appreciate their lessons and their sacrifices.
Finished my 5k this morning and had a fun time! Ran in under 30 but walked for like an hour at least before and after combined. I'm going to count it because I sure feel it.
Oh and my thankful thing.... I'm thankful that my husband a year removed from cancer and less than a year from major knee surgery is healthy and doing this running thing with me and crushing it. He's a huge motivator and great partner
59:49 [thank you official timing] for my 10k race this morning. Plus a decent walk too and from the start area and jumping around waiting to start in the cold. I'll call it 90 minutes total. 670/1750.
My race went well, it was for my proof of time for the glass slipper challenge. Now it's on to Avengers next weekend.
Finished my 5k at 37:11. Couldn't jog the whole thing, but still did better than the last race I participated in. Two more months until the Star Wars 10k.
317/1100
I'm thankful for the Denver Veterans Day Festival. The parade was nicely attended, and there were a lot of deserved "thank yous" to our nation's veterans. And I was able to participate in a Quilt of Valor ceremony where we presented 5 veterans with warming, healing quilts. The vet I draped with the quilt was a recent Iraq/Afghanistan service member who just kept saying how beautiful the quilt was and how much he loved it. I assured him he deserved it.
DH and I went to a new mall today while DS was taking a class at the zoo. (We didn't want to drive home and then drive back.)
So I did 15 minutes of dedicated walking before the stores opened, and a bunch of on-and-off walking while shopping. That was probably about another half-hour's worth if mushed together, so I'll estimate I'm at 145/500.
I'm thankful for spending time with DH and that we got a little Christmas shopping done early.
20 minute walk with my dog this afternoon. 355/900
Today, I am so thankful for the fact that the dog we have been searching for was found around 2pm! She has already been to the vet and other than losing 6 pounds over the 8 days she was lost, she is in good shape. So relieved and thankful that she is home with her family tonight!

I just had one of these tasty pumpkin treats yesterday and I was very impressed. I'm a bad influence, I know, but this was so yummy and really tasted like Pumpkin Pie!
