Giving Disney Dollars to adult prior to trip... appropriate?

I can come up with multiple ways to present Disney Dollars to a young child that is anticipating their trip to WDW.

But what about the young adult? I'm imagining this could be used for "drinking around the world", taking the girlfriend out to Ohana's, etc.

Are disney dollars still appropriate for this age? I'll have a Disney Rewards card to give them too, but not until closer to time of trip.

Also - I was trying to think of a creative way to make a pamphlet or something with pictures - maybe of the cantina in Epcot or something more adult oriented.

Any ideas?

AND would you mind paying for a drink with Disney Dollars??

Do they still do Disney Dollars?

I'd use them if I got them!
For ideas for the pamphlet, try the
Creative Community Board here on the disboards,
they have great ideas and can be super helpful!

For my friends, I've made up a coupon for a free
drink at Jellyrolls and attached $10- to it.
Sounds like they're going to have fun!

Money is money, except that what you are giving can only be used at Disney, which is no big deal if they are going!!!!

I wouldn't complain about getting Disney $'s even at my age!!!

yes if it is geared toward a trip to WDW/DL or any Disney Resort plus TDS it is still great to give out as gift.

I've gotten them in the past as Christmas presents from my family and think they're great!!
Ahem - so where's my drink coupon with $10??

It'll be in your stocking for our January trip :dance3:

Disney Dollars, visa gift cards, I'm sure they'll appreciate
anything you give them! :thumbsup2

Now the Visa gift card is a good idea too! Just 'in case' the Disney Trip wouldn't come to be.

Thanks for the suggestions

I get Disney Dollars from my in-laws for my birthday each year - and I am 35! They know we will use them, as we go to WDW 1-2 times per year.

Whenever I am asked what I would like for Xmas, birthday, anniversay, etc. the answer is always Disney Dollars! I can't spend them anywhere else so it's like a little savings account. I can then spend them on whatever I want when we go. Appropriate? - ABSOLUTELY!
