...where credit is due! It's a long story and it does have to do with a WDW restaurant so bear with me.

We just got back from our Christmas trip and we had a wonderful time and had some really nice food, but that those are topics for other threads. I wanted to mention the little bit of pixie dust given to my family on Christmas day.

We got up on Christmas morning and opened gifts (we were staying off site at a rental home) then went to the GF for tea at 2pm. All went well and the tea was great, but as we were getting up from the table our DD2 began to throw up all over her Snow White dress, the table and my wife. Here is the kicker, she did not act sick at all (before or after) so we took her to the restroom to clean her up and change clothes (DD & DW) and proceeded to Epcot since DD2 & DD5 insisted on seeing Belle & Beast in France and we had a late dinner reservation at Le Cellier.

All seemed well......DD2 was laughing and cutting up so we assumed she may have eaten or drank too much at tea and nothing was really wrong with her. This was a mistake, because just as we got under Spaceship Earth she started heaving again. Well, DW missed the shower this time, but the stroller was shell shocked by this barrage of fluid fury and my DD5 got her arm covered (it was a double stroller and DD2 was sitting in back). DW took the girls into the companion restroom with the stroller and get both of them and the stroller cleaned up (relative terminology since the smell was lingering). Again, DD2 started playing, laughing and cutting up and wanted to see Belle so DW took the DD2 & DD5 over to France while DD14 and myself ran a few errands collecting Curly Wurlies and loose leaf tea in England and Marble Sodas,Pocky and Paripo from Japan. We kept in touch with DW because I decided that if she got sick (or even seemed sick) again, we would end our Christmas day adventure and forgo our Christmas dinner. All was well, then the call came.......yep, you guessed it, she came through with one more performance of her own little version of the Epcot fountain show. Like before she acted fine and was playing, but this time we started towards the monorail to leave.

As we went into Canada we stopped to cancel our ADR at Le Cellier so it could be opened for someone else. This is where I want to give credit......Brandon, the host in front, was sad we had to cancel our Christmas dinner ADR so he went in and spoke with the manager, Christina, and with her permission allowed us to reschedule our dinner for the day we left WDW. This may not seem like much to some, but they were fully booked until New Years and turned away every walk-up that came in. This was the one meal my DD14 was really looking forward to so she was tickled we were able to get in. We were seated promptly as the restaurant opened at 11:30am for a wonderful lunch to end our magical trip to WDW. Like I said, my main purpose in posting this is to give Brandon and Christina the honor and credit they deserve for giving a little extra to make our trip a little better in not so perfect circumstances.

Oh Yeah, DD2 was fine the next morning so we are chalking it up to a 24 hour bug. As life crawls forward, don't forget to look for the good even if bad things happen!!!

:thumbsup2

Well that was very nice of them, especially considering how tough it is to get an ADR. I hope your daughter is feeling better, but I can relate. When I was a little girl, that's how I acted when I'd get sick. Be totally fine, running around playing, and then all the sudden...

Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed your christmas, even with some vomit.
