Giving 6 month old bath at resort

Another vote for just getting in the tub with the little one.

Have fun. Our oldest DD was 6 months when we took our first trip to Disney and it was a FABULOUS trip. We made it a tradition so when our second was born we also took her to disney at 6 months.

My biggest piece of (unsolicited) advice is to bring a sunblanket -- an extremely light weight, UVA blocking blanket that you can drape over so that you can avoid the sunscreen, but not overheat the baby. It was the best purchase I made.

Another vote for 1 parent getting in the tub and holding the baby. We did this with our DS when he was 4 months old this past December.

I would also suggest wiping down the tub before putting the baby in it. This is just to make sure the baby doesn't have a reaction to whatever chemical mousekeeping uses to clean the tub.

We would just lay our babies on their backs in the tub, on towels, and do a very quick sponge bath type of thing.

We brought along one of those single ring pools (we got it at dollar tree) and put it in the bottom of the tub just in case it was icky or they would have a reaction to the cleaning stuff used on the tub. It was only about the size of the bottom of a laundry basket and folded up so teensy tiny and we just pitched it at the end of the week.

Haven't read all the replies, but I'd either shower with the baby, as others said, or when we were visiting my parents we used to put a towel on the bottom of the tub, fill it up a little with nice warm water and hold them with their bums on the towel while we bathed them so they wouldn't slip. Seems like ages ago now but my youngest is only two!
