We were given a 5 day pass from another park goer last might when buying our tickets. It's the paper ticket, and her mom's name was written on it, but that's it. (Her poor mom was too I'll to make the trip.) My question is: how close will they look at that name on Monday morning when we go through? I don't know the process and am hoping we can use this incredible gift.

If they didn't take the photo and attach it to the ticket then you should be fine. They don't really look at the name, it's the photo

If it's never been used the only time it would be an issue is if the scanners are down at the turnstiles and they ask for ID. If there's a child in your group the best bet might be to have them use it.

Since you didn't pay them for it, they have no incentive to scam you so I would also assume no photo associated yet and probably no problem.

But otherwise some people use a day or 2 and sell the rest, which usually doesn't work well for the buyer since there is a photo associated with it. Just putting that possibility out there.
