Give up BCV or AKV for 1 night at UStudios?

Stayed at both and really enjoy both so I can't seem to make up my mind? So asking my fellow Disboarders for suggestions.

We will be arriving at BCV 12/29 for 4 nights. Celebrating NYE at EPCOT. Then moving to AKV for 5 more nights...savan. view. We also want to do US and visit the Harry Potter part and stay on site to get the express pass. So we need to give up one night. And we will have our own car so transportation is not a issue.

Which night would you give up BCV or AKV?
And would you do US in between BCV and AKV or do US at the end of our Disney trip?

I would do US in between and give up one night at AKV since you have 5 nights there and only 4 at BCV, plus we love BCV so I wouldn't give up a day there!

We actually are doing something similar for our holiday stay. We are staying at BLT from December 18-January 1 and are staying onsite at US on the 19th, so, rather than cancelling that one night, we are just letting our BLT room sit empty the night we are staying at US. In your situation, though, since you are already checking out, I'd give up one of your AKV nights in favor of US. And, yes, I would do US in the middle. Happy planning!

12/29 is a Thursday, so I'd stay at BCV for three nights, stay at US for one night, then back to AKV for five nights.

The reason I'd do it that way is to save the point usage of a Saturday night. You could also do it on Friday night for the same reason, but then you'd have to check back into BCV for one night which doesn't make sense. Besides, would't you rather be at Disney for New Year's?

I'd let the point usage cost guide me. With FOTL passes, you will have no problem "doing Universal" on a weekend even if it's crowded. The fact that it would be January 1 may keep the crowds down anyway, especially in the morning.

I would have never come up with this idea. I like the way you think! Sounds like an AWESOME plan I'll have to file it away in the vacation file of my brain.
