We are planning on staying conceirge on our January trip and was wondering if anyone could give me some details or experiences that they have had. I am really excited to do the Sunrise Safari!!

FANTASTIC!!!!! I don't know how to discribe it. This is our Favorite hotel. I don't think we will stay anywhere else. The Conceirge level was great. The food selection was wonderful. We usually missed the nightly selection though. And the sunrise safari was great. It was so worth the price! You will never get that kind of service and that kind of showing of animals unless you went to Africa. Have a great time!!!!
****IS THERE ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE FOR ME???****

We've stayed at the AKL twice, both times as concierge guests. It was an amazing experience, this group of CM's really knows how to pamper--more than any other at WDW IMHO. We love the decor, the lounge, and staff, the food offerings, it's truly remarkable.

The Sunrise Safari is incredible, and well worth every dime. We've done this twice as well, and are looking forward to doing it again some time next year.

Just back from AKL concierge long review on another thread. Wanted to tell you they are now offering a sunset safari that soumds even better than the sunrise, It stays on AKL property , you have cocktails with a giraffe and then dinner at Jiko. Its limited to a small number and sounds more intimate. Check it out.

I Know others have mixed views about smaller kids on the Sunrise Safari..... I would like to know your opinion on that? I am very conflicted about taking my twins. Who are 3 and a half. We are all booked for the Safari. But I am wondering if maybe I should let them sleep in and let DS9. go alone with Nana. I tried to cancel just me and the little guys. But, Alanna at AKL talked me out og doing so as she said they will love it and not to worry! So Ducklite and anyone else with opinions on this fire away. All Input is appreciated. Cassie I know you had some thoughts on this as well..... FYI they sit through every movie have for over a year. Love the animals, AKL is thier fave hotel ever. I am more concerned I guess with maybe the Breakfast at Tusker House part. I do not see them sitting for that leisurely? Can you tell I am conflicted????

we had kids younger than 3 1/2 on our safari. They all seemed to have a great time. :D

It depends on your kids. If they can sit through a movie they will probably be fine. I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but when you board the safari vehicle, try to get in the rear, That way if your kids do get antsy, they won't be as distracting to other guests. You just never know when a toddler is going to suddenly decide they want "down" and we all know that toddlers who don't get their way can make sure everyone knows how unhappy they are about it. It's the "nature of the beast" LOL! :)

The breakfast part is dicey. It's "assigned" seating, and in our experience, they don't neccesarily seat all the families with kids together. You might end up having to leave before you get done eating--are you willing to do that?

TWINMOMPLUS2,
I would say to heck w/ what other people say. It's your vacation if you want to take your kids on the sunrise safari then take them. Our DD has been twice. She was 2 the first time and 3 the second. I would just say bring them a coloring book or something like that for the breakfast. I always have something like that in my bag for our DD to keep her busy while we're eating. I have to say kids will be kids. They all cry they all get mad and there is nothing you can do to stop this from happening it's just the way it is! There are a lot of rude adults in the world! Do I have the right to tell them not to go on the safari? NO!! Take your kids trust me they will never forget it and it's a great experience for them. They'll be fine. You need not worry about it! Have a great time!
