Can you give me some reviews on the treehouse villa what they are like and what did you think? Please.

I posted a question about the TREEHouse Villas last week, and was told they are very popular, If you aren't an owner of SSR, you probably won't get in at 7 months. You can use the Search feature to get more info. Most like them, only issue is that they are small for a 3 bedroom unit. That's probably why the points are low. The people in the second bedroom, third bedroom (bunk beds) have to share the bathroom. They are out of the way a little.

We own at SSR and have had a problem getting a treehouse at 10.5 months. I think the chances will improve as the newness wears off and more SSR points are sold.

Yesterday was my 7 month date so I called MS to change my reservation from BLT to something else. 1st choice would have been Treehouse Villas and there would have even been availability, but only for part of our stay and I don't want to move mid-stay. So I took Villas at Wilderness Lodge and keep the treehouse on the waitlist.

We stayed there for the first time in January. The THV were very nice, but I didn't like feeling so disconnected from the rest of the resort and being so far away from the parks. Parking was also a major hassle, as we had two cars with us and were only alloted one space. The other car had to park at the main resort and it was a long walk, especially at night and in the freezing cold and rain that we had that week.

As far as the setup of the villa went, I think we prefer the layout of the "regular" villas. We didn't experience any maintenance or cleanliness issues, and have no specific complaints, it just wasn't our cup of tea. We're glad we gave it a try, but I think we'll be back to VWL for the next trip!

We stayed there last Sept.(Labor Day week) and loved them. Plenty of room and just beautiful. Quiet, no bugs, lovely water view. Short walk to the boat or the bus or the pool. We just had one car so no problems with parking. The walkway to the Grandstand section of SSR was the lifeline to the rest of the resort. It took approx. 10-15 min. if leisurely strolling. The slight "disconnect" is what made it great for us. After a long, hot day of the Mouse, it was nice to get away from it all. We give the THV a 10! :thumbsup2

We absolutely love them. We stayed for a week in Sept. using Developer points and one cash night. Loved it so much that we booked it again on a bounceback cash reservation. We're relaxing in our villas as I post.

The attention to detail is astounding. Materials are first rate. Pictures do not do THV IMO. There is lots of storage.

The CMs are great. JoAnn checked me in last Friday morning and was so helpful. Yesterday the boats stopped operating due to the winds so despite having a car I decided to walk over to Artist Palette. On my return trip, Aziz offered me a ride back in his cart.

I would not stay here without a car.

Did I mention how much we love them?:rotfl:

We stayed in a THV to celebrate my mothers birthday last October- we spent 4 nights, we had 8 adults and an almost 2 year old. We found we had no space issues, plenty of room for everyone. We never waited more than a minute or two for a bus, so there really was no delay in getting to the main resort. We had one car so parking was fine, and as for being "away from it all" - well it felt like we were all alone in the woods while in the villa, but again, the busses were great to the main resort, and the boats to Downtown Disney were awesome- having a seperate boat dock for the Treehouses made us feel like VIP's!

I'm so glad to hear from people that loved them! We are staying in October - I was able to get the reservation at 11 months since I own at SSR. We are so excited to get the chance to stay in them. Their isolation was part of the attraction for us.

We stayed 6 nights in January and really enjoyed it. We had 5 adults 2 kids and one infant. We had plenty of room.

We loved the woodsy feel and didn't mind the isolation too much. I did, however tell my husband that I want to stay in one of the hotel timeshares next time so we are doing BLT.

We had 2 cars and had no trouble parking them. Our villa was right next to the boat dock. We didn't used the pool because it was freezing but I think it would have been a hike to use it anyway. My husband walked once to SSR and said it was "FAR"...we didn't mind though bc we didn't want to go there anyway.

I don't know if I will use the points again to stay there bc it is normally just the four of us, but for a big group it was amazing.

we stayed at the THV at the end of Aug 09, and we loved them!!!. We were in the lowest villa (when looking at the map from top to bottom. We did complain about the internal busses. It seemed as though as soon as our bus pulled into the grandstand, that the internal bus would leave. Knowing it would be another 10 minutes for the next one, it was just easier and probably faster to just walk. We found that it was tough going back to a hotel villa, as you felt totally isolated, did not hear or have to worry about noises above/below you. There were five of us: me, DH, DBIL, DS12, DD10, and room was not an issue. Loved paying only 2 BR points. I definitely plan on going back again. We will, however, stay when it is not so hot. We were not able to enjoy the patio as we wanted too because it was too hot!!! Even at the end of the day...we wanted to get back into the AC!!! It wasn't too bad of a walk to the grandstand pool for the kids to use. We also had the quiet pool to ourselves. It definitely helps you slow down the pace.
