Give -a -day blackout

My family and I have a volunteer vouchers and will be arriving at disneyworld to buy annual passes on day when vouchers are in blackout. I've called guest services MANY times to find out if they will honor them during that time (using them to upgrade rather than to just go into the park on a black-out day) I've gotten mixed answers. Does anyone know where i can get a definite answer?

I would say if it is a black out day that means you cannot use them at all that day. Can you upgrade to AP during any non blackout dates?

However, to answer your questions, during the blackout dates you can NOT use the voucher for a ticket. As such, you can not use them to upgrade to an AP since you first have to turn them in for a 1 day ticket.

The only things you can do on blackout dates is get the fastpasses or the collective items IF you already have a multiday ticket.

LilyWDW is right. You will not be able to use the GAD voucher for admission on a blackout date. Since it has to be used on the day you redeem it, you wouldn't be able to upgrade it on that date either.

If you have a multi-day ticket or AP, you can redeem the voucher for the fastpass cards or figurine during the blackout period.
