Day 2: Monday Sept 17th.

Giulia, 45
Brian, 53
Edoardo, 21
Enrico, 14

Another sunny morning in DLP and it was the day we had booked Breakfast with Characters.
Can tell i was a bit disappointed about it :(
Our turn was from 8 to 9.30 am and we got there about 8.20 am, Mickey, Pinocchio and Friar Tac were already there but just the time for a snap with Mickey from my mobile to send my work mates via MMS and hey presto they had gone :(
It took a while before Goofy, Geppetto and the Cat from Pinocchio arrived and in the meantime waiter kept checking carefully if your plate was empty to take it off and ask if you had finished your brekkie.
In 1999 it took place at the restaurant in Hotel New York, Mickey and Minnie were there to meet and greet the guests and then quite a few characters walked around the tables to intereact with people.
Anyway after it we walked straight to Walt Disney Studios to discover it was already opened at 9.40 when it was supposed to open at 10
Edoardo and me went to Nemo and Brian and me went to Flying Carpets.
I can tell i was not impressed with Nemo at all but Edoardo was.
Queueing is pretty boring as there is nothing to see (and was good we had not to queue long lol) and then we had to sit backwards. It starts quickly, inside is pretty dark and the first swoop is endless it took my breath away. And the turtle's shells didnt gave me the feeling i was protected enough.
I cannot say if it is a family ride really, i saw little kids having fun and parents scared and other little ones in tears after it, i can tell it's the only ride that made me feel dizzy and a bit sick  .

After Nemo we went to Studio Tram Tour: it is worth doing, actually better than i thought.

Armageddon, another good one but not a ride.

The Stuntmen show: worth watching even more if you have boys but very very noisy.

It was time for the Parade (1.30 pm), it is not a long one but you can see *different* characters like Cruella and Chicken Little.

Then Edoardo said it was time for Rock and Roller Coaster before lunch break (you never know you see lol) and we had a go at it.
He was worried because he had been told it was a *hard* one, i was worried because of the girl that had died there.

Great ambientation, you can see golden disks of groups as you walk in and then there is a video feat. Aerosmith talking about how they thought the ride shoud be.
But we were so nervous we didnt pay them much attention lol

It's faster than i thought but if you like Coaster it's a must do, great music great lights and a great track :woohoo: .

Lunch break was at the restaurant in front of RnR and it was the cheapest we found i think.

Around 2.30 pm Minnie Mouse was on Front Lot for a photo and autograph session and i queued to meet her. Forgot to say i had done the same for Mickey after we had been on Nemo and i can tell it's a lot easier to have a photo with them at WDS then the other Park.

We went then back to the main Park and tried Buzz again. The queue was 20 mins but actually it was longer as there was a queue on the FastPass track too lol
It is good but i found hard to understand how to use the lasers lol

When we got off there it was raining hard so Brian and me went and watched the parade trying to keep heads dry with a plastic jacket (Brian's) and the kids went back to Game Hall.
It stopped raining for a while but it suddenly started again and so i bought a plastic poncho that got broken in a few mins - next time i must remember to bring over umbrellas!!
Brian and me started to queue for Peter Pan as it was still raining as so we had not to wait too long - rain is annoying but useful at times you see.
For the same reason, and as it had turned cold, was quite easy to get to Dumbo too, but we didnt get wet when flying as rain had stopped again.

It was around 6 pm and because of the weather people had started leaving so it was easy to go to Phantom Manor and we were able to do Big Thunder Mountain three times in a row and then we went to POTC.
I would say try and do the most of the last hour of opening of the park because the queues are shorter then.

On way back we stopped for Candleabration and it is lovely, i have loved every moment of it and so did the rest of the group.

Back to Annette for dinner (we dined there every day) and there was no dancing that day - think it was on later but not sure.
Enrico had the All American Hot Dog again (he ate it every day) Edoardo Double chilli burger, me Avocado green Burger and Brian The Euro Chick Burger (burger with chicken).

We then shared an Elvis the King ice cream - one with four spoons and we didnt finish it!!
But it tasted good!!

A quick look around the shops and it started raining so hard we had to run to the Hotel and went straight to bed wondering what we would had done if the day after would had been as bad as it promised looking up to the sky.............

End of day 2.
