Girls Trip Revisited-- Final Day (Part 3) -- August 14

Well, I can see how that might happen. You seemed to have a lot on your mind. :rotfl2:

Andy, I apologize...I somehow missed your post when I was quoting. Please forgive me. Yes, I had a lot on my mind those last two weeks.

:crazy2: :scared1: :faint: Water??? What happened, did they close Starbucks for a refurb?

Midway Airport does not have a Starbucks. Yet another reason I hate that airprot, funny man!

Despite the lack of pictures, it seems like the trip is off to a nice start. I'm glad the weather seemed to improve a bit for your arrival.:thumbsup2

The question would be whether or not the weather continued to improve during the trip?

Okay, okay, so I guess the trip did happen. ;) Looks like fun was being had!

Yes, it really happened, and it was a great start.

Congratulations to baseball coach Andy.

Thanks, Glenn...he's still floating on Cloud 9.

Lets back up a moment shall we?? We left hot and sunny Phx around 9a arriving in Orlando at approx 430p. Flight was uneventful quick naps were taken. movies were watched, snacks were eaten. We landed and took the fake monorail to the main terminal

We waited for Ms Kathy for a bit and then we all made our way to the ME. Off we went to OKW. Waited for a bus that was not coming-so a quick call was made to Heather and she came and picked us up. Off we went to Reglan Road. Ms Kathy used my camera to take pics. Some did not come out but these did.

At the table

Ms Kathy's ap

Oh so yummy wings

Light fixture

Avery on her fake phone

Dancing (they were very excited)

Dinner was very yummy!! It was now on the later side so we made our way back to OKW. Next up our first full day

Great photos of the girls, Mary. I agree...dinner was very, very yummy.

Congratulations to Andy :cool1:

Thanks, Lisa.

love the wedding videos :goodvibes

Thank you; I've gotten them all downloaded but one and they are on my FB page.

so happy you found your photos!
both yours and Mary's look like all were having a fun time! and yummy looking food! what was your appy at Raglan???

I'm happy I found them too. My appetizer was the Scallop Forrest (battered scallops and they were OUT of this world!).

Pictures or no pictures sounds like the trip was starting off well! :)

It did start well.

Congrats on your oldest getting his job!!!! :yay: I was praying he would get it!!

Thanks for the prayers; Andy has been involved in baseball for over 20 years--either as a player, an umpire, an assistant coach, a head coach of 13 year old travel teams, etc. I can think of no one more deserving
than him!

Mary, the girls are just as beautiful as ever. You're gonna need to keep a shot gun handy!! ::yes::
I can't get over how big they are getting!!
Wish Mackie was little again, she's starting to get on my nerves with this teenage stuff. :rolleyes2 :faint:

I agree, Camille, they are as beautiful as ever. And Mark will be shocked to see how big they have gotten.

I have to get caught up after dinner but I am finally here and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wedding pics!!!

Thank you so much, Ali. For "unprofessional" photographers, we got some great shots.

Congrats to Andy!

So glad you found pictures! Looks like a great start to the day.

I am glad Mary had some pictures of the arrival though...

Thanks, Ann...I am so happy for him.

I'm glad I found the pictures too.

Glad about all the good news:

Thanks, Pat.

Andy has a new job and you found your pictures.

Isn't it great?

Sorry you were not fond of Beach Club.

It's not that I wasn't fond of it...it's beautiful. There were just some issues that would not put it near the top of my priority list.

Yay for finding your pics! And congrats to Andy! My dad loves coaching baseball, he's been doing it for probably 20 years now! If anything, at least Andy will be having fun! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Ali. Andy has been coaching since he got out of high school...so almost 10 years. It is his life!

Kathy,

What an excellent start to this TR. Great video of the wedding reception. I like your pictures of Disney's ME as well; There is something about entering the line at ME that makes the reality finally settle in, "Hey, I'm going to Disney World."

By the way, guess what I'm thinking about doing?.... Got a guess?....

You got it, I'm seriously thinking of changing my resort from CSR to WL. (deja vu) :rotfl2:

Looks like we are going to spend more time at the MK than originally planned. My DD's high school band was suppose to perform on Sunday but that has now been changed to the Monday evening SpectroMagic Parade. (Geez, doesn't the school and Disney realize how far out we have to book ADR's. LOL

We had to change up our ADR's and now will not be able to go to Fantasmic like we planned since we were going on Monday. Oh well, I'd rather watch her in the parade any day. We are also going to be in the MK all day Tuesday and for the MVMCP as well so looking like Wilderness Lodge for us... Maybe If I look upward some $$$$ may fall from the money tree and I can do the Poly for the first time. :rotfl:

Kathy Loved the First Dance video !!! So cute !! Do you know I had never seen the inside of the Plaza and I LOVED it !!! Note to self gotta eat there !!!!!

Thanks, Rosie. Mark took one dance lesson and he did pretty good for just one lesson. You must go to the Plaza...it's so good and the food is good too.

So glad you found your pictures!

Plaza and Ragland Road, two of my favorites!:cloud9:

Thanks, Amy. As you know, the Plaza is a favorite of ours. I enjoy Raglan Road, but it is not an every year restaurant for me.

Always good to have friends you can count on to help get you through things! ::yes::

Yes, it is. :)

Loving the opening pictures. So glad you finally located them! :thumbsup2 You all seemed to hit the ground running!!! :woohoo:

There's no stopping us when we have two young ones with us.

Love the Mickey Head trimmed bread on the girl's sandwiches at the Plaza! I love that place!!!

It's such a great place; but maybe we shouldn't keep bragging on it or we won't be able to get in.

And those wings at Raglan Road look really yummy! I need to go there sometime and give them a try! :goodvibes

If I'm not mistaken, we all had the Bailey's Shake too? Or was it just me? Hard to remember at my age.

So now you're ignoring me for making fun of your Starbucks habit? Oh well, I guess I had it coming.

Please forgive me. I just somehow missed including you in my original quotes.

I'm glad that you were able to recover them! :thumbsup2

Me too. :)

Congrats! That is great news!

It truly is; and amazing at his young age.

That looks like it was about an ideal flight.

It was.

Those look awesome. Ok, I feel myself being swayed to try Raglan Road.

You really must try it...it's a great place and the dancers are fabulous.

:lmao: Sorry, this cracked me up! But it looks like I'm going to have to try Raglan Road as well. And soon!

Yes, you must.

A big congratulations to Andy! Head baseball coach is AWESOME! :cool1:

Thank you very much...I am so happy for him and proud too.

So happy you found your pics. Close call, huh?

Too close for comfort.

I am currently in love with the new Journey of the Little Mermaid ride. It's just so cute and the queue is great.

I love it too; I can't understand why some people actually don't like it. :confused3

Everything else is looking like a great time as well. Bring on the next update! :goodvibes

More pictures coming from the first day as soon as I finish my replies.

soooooooooO happy you found your pictures!!! :yay: This is an awesome trip!!!
I cannot wait to see the new FL!!!
as i am writting this i have my great dane head on my ARM..
i THINK HE NEEDS ATTANTION!!!

tLAK SOON

Thanks, Mo...I was happy I could track most of them down.

You will love the new FL.

Too funny about your dog.

Those were wonderful videos taken at the wedding, Kathy. I'm happy that you found the lost pictures as I know it would have driven you nuts if you hadn't. At least, I know it would have driven me nuts knowing there were out there somewhere.

Thank you, Lisa. I am glad you enjoyed them. I was going nuts...and I'm nuts enough already.

Kathy,

What an excellent start to this TR. Great video of the wedding reception. I like your pictures of Disney's ME as well; There is something about entering the line at ME that makes the reality finally settle in, "Hey, I'm going to Disney World."

Thanks, Bob. Glad you enjoyed the video. Mark was very nervous about that first dance. I love seeing the ME...it tells me I'm really there.

By the way, guess what I'm thinking about doing?.... Got a guess?....

You got it, I'm seriously thinking of changing my resort from CSR to WL. (deja vu) :rotfl2:

This does NOT surprise me at all. I actually told my husband just the other day that I bet you would be moving to WL. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

After lunch at the Plaza, it was time to get our ride on.

Our first stop:

They had us winding around on the right side and I saw this in the back courtyard which I never even knew was there:

You can never leave the dump shop without a sword fight:

Up next:

I really don't think we waited more than 20 minutes though

It was time for a pit stop, and we stopped at the new restrooms by Raphunzel.

Aren't they cute?

It was time to ride the wildest train in the west:

Mary didn't ride and had heart failure when I told her Avery rode alone. But I held on to her shoulder the whole ride so she was fine.

More photos in next post of our day at the MK.

That's the bad thing about solo trips, no one to sword fight with at the PoTC dump shop! :rotfl2::lmao:

Great pictures and ride choices! :goodvibes

After our wild ride, Heather and her girls and Mary, me and our girls, split up. Heather had to go check into her new resort and we had to get the girls ready for our dinner soon.

First stop though, we hit up one of everyone's favorites:

It was then time to head to our dinner which the girls were so excited about. We were dining here:

Spinning while waiting:

Two beautiful princesses:

Continued in next post

You got some great shots in the Haunted Mansion! I quit taking pictures in there because they never turn out :sad2:

I think we were at Disney a week or two after you and I see some things I missed.... I really need to start paying attention! Where is that courtyard at Pirates? Did you go by it while you were in line?? I've never noticed it before! Looks very quiet.

After our hearty meal, the girls had some strength they wanted to try out:

Unfortunately, they didn't eat enough of their veggies and were unsuccessful in getting the sword out.

We then decided it had been a long day and that we would head back to the Beach Club to check in and go swimming.

We saw Ms. Anita and Mr. Marc at this point. Mary and I visited with them for awhile and the girls went into the lobby because they were hot. I don't have a picture of this meet, but I do get one later on with Ms. Anita.

Waiting for that luggage that got lost and sent to the wrong resort.

Finally the luggage arrived, and it was off to the pool:

We had some visitors in the pool:

The girls wanted a treat after their swim, so we stopped in the shop and this is what they got:

After jammies were put on, we got the kids to bed for our adventures were starting early the next morning.

Oops, posted too soon earlier! I really, really want to eat dinner at BOG soon, but if I can't get a ressie I'll settle for lunch again.

The ducks in the pool at BC are adorable!

I am so glad you found your pictures cause you got some great ones!!!

I never knew there were so many little nooks that were out of the way. That one near pirates looks very relaxing. Not a smoking area though, right?

Looks like you got a great room! Too bad your luggage got sent to the wrong resort. CBR BC... at least they knew the name had BEACH in it. :rotfl2:

They had us winding around on the right side and I saw this in the back courtyard which I never even knew was there:

That doesn't look familiar to me, either. Between this and Glenn's secret entrance to AK, this has been an educational week!

You can never leave the dump shop without a sword fight:

Truer words were never spoken. ::yes::

I really don't think we waited more than 20 minutes though

You can always count on the Haunted Mansion to load fairly quickly. Except when it doesn't.

Aren't they cute?

::yes::

Mary didn't ride and had heart failure when I told her Avery rode alone.

You should have said you had to hold her shoulder because her lap bar didn't work. :scared1::rotfl2:

Someday I'll get to Be Our Guest. It looks pretty cool.

Unfortunately, they didn't eat enough of their veggies and were unsuccessful in getting the sword out.

Does that kind of peer pressure work?

The girls wanted a treat after their swim, so we stopped in the shop and this is what they got:

Holy cow, it'll take all week to eat those!

That's great that you found the pictures. That's so interesting about the hidden courtyard in Pirates. I wonder if there is a way to get there without waiting in line...

The new Rapunzel area looks so pretty! While it's disappointing they couldn't find a spot for her to meet somewhere in there, I'm glad they went all out for this new area.

Congrats to your son!! How exciting!

Looks like a pretty great start to the trip! I'm glad we got to meet, albeit briefly :)

Glad to see you found the pics.
I have never seen the courtyard at POTC either.
I cannot wait to eat BOG.
Great you saw Anita and Marc.
All caught up.

Yay - I'm happy you found your pictures, you must have been so pleased when you found them

The girls are so adorable - lovely big smiles and they look like they are having a ball

Thanks for sharing the wedding vids - just lovely :)

What a great day at MK!

How was the food at BoG?? I am so excited to eat there in October and although people keep saying it's good, I'm interested in your opinions!

The rooms at the Beach Club look so pretty! What was it that you didn't like about it? Anything specific? I know, I know...nothing is CSR :thumbsup2 That's how I feel at least! We liked OKW well enough but...it's just not CSR!

Can't wait for more!

I am finally here! :) Just got back from WDW on Tuesday so I am slowly catching up. I never noticed the claw with one of the green aliens in tomorrowland- too funny!

Nice day! How can you possibly beat starting with PotC, HM, and BTMRR!!!

Okay, I must be sleeping when I ride the People Mover! Why do I not remember the claw and the Aliens??? :confused3

BoG looks like a lot of fun. I can't wait to try it one day! ::yes::

Your room at Beach Club looks really nice. Reminds me a lot of the décor at OKW. :goodvibes
