Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

Thanks Lisa! I'm hoping life slows down a bit and I can keep up I can't believe the Diva trip is just around the corner!! So exciting!

I worked all day yesterday, then went to my sisters for dinner & games. Stayed up til midnight to toast & cheer...and made it home & in bed by 1am I hate driving on NYE and it was super foggy. Luckily I only had to white knuckle it about 10 miles. Today I spent taking the tree down, boxing up decor and cleaning out the garage. DH has been sick in bed for 2 days. So not only were we apart Christmas eve and that entire week, but NYE too! What an odd holiday time for us. I do not need to get sick, nor do I have time for it!! lol I am very much looking foward to the kids going back to school, although I feel bad that we did absolutely nothing fun the entire 2 weeks they had off. Oh well, we'll tuck this Christmas away and move on to a fabulous 2012!

Beth, I'm pretty sure I'm past any deadlines, but if there's room, I'd love to do the following meals:
Fri - Big Thunder BBQ & Cafe Orleans dinner
Sat - Napa Rose
Sun - Steakhouse breakfast & Wine Country lunch

If they are all full...no worries! I'll grab a snack & meet up afterwards

Hello, ladies!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a quiet one here, which if fine. Today the kids are enjoying their last day of vacation before it's back to school. Seems weird to have today off. They usually go back the Monday after New Years.

I don't think Bridget has made the reservations yet, so I will go ahead and add you.

Well - since we won't know for sure if F! is happening until closer to the trip, I am happy to hold on to all the checks until after the trip and still try to make the reservation. If everyone would like to do that, still follow the info on FB - again, I won't make any deposit until after the trip. Just let me know the consensus.

Well, I wasn't signed up for that but to me that sounds like a good idea. If it works out to make the reservation, that way you already have everything you need. If not, you can send them back or just shred them up. JMO

My boys (aged 11 and 7) are thrilled to stay up so late, and I'm at the age where I'd be thrilled to crawl into bed before then.

I'm still hoping to make it for the weekend part of the trip, but it's not looking good. Flights are still high, and it's Marty's birthday that Sunday. But I'm always last-minute anyway, so time will tell.....

Did you all see the announcement that Disneyland and Magic Kingdom are going to stay open for 24 hours on the 29th of February? Too bad it's so close to the Diva trip. I don't think Russ would be amused for me to come home Sunday afternoon and fly back out 3 days later...... LOL Like I could stay up all night anyway!

I did see that. I'm not sure I could stay in any theme park for 24 hours. Interesting thought though.

As soon as everything is confirmed, I will have Beth adjust the times on the schedule on the first page. THere are slight changes but the ressies are either real close or the actually times already posted.

Hope everyone had a great New Year's! We rang it in with close friends and spent the night at their house - I had driving on NYE, too many amateurs on the road!!

Yup, I believe I'm all set for the M&G and Laurie was thoughtful enough to remind me about the meal sign ups since I hadn't been on. Oh, almost forgot the whole reason I came on here in the first place....I just got off the phone with Disneyland trying to book Fantasmic seating on January 22nd and I was told Fantasmic will be down from 1/9/12-3/2/12.

So unless the person I talked to was incorrect (which has been known to happen), it ain't lookin' good .

I was shocked that he said the closure started 1/9/11 because I haven't read that anywhere.

I just checked the Disney calendar, and beginning on 1/9/11....no Fantasmic listed throughout the rest of January and all of February (although they have only updated the calendar through Feb 14th as of today).

It is a long walk. If you end up with dessert at NRL, don't order the apple crisp. I made that mistake the last time we went as a group there and it was not good. Just a friendly tip.

Boy - I've missed my DisDIVAS I feel like I've been gone for ages. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's. My mom came and visited for a week so it was really nice to spend some time with her. It was busy though. Although I'm not thrilled to be back at work, there is some comfort having the house and things back to the old routine.

I'm so bummed about Fantasmic!. Does anyone have any backup plans? Is it too late to add onto dinner at Cafe Orleans for that night? I've actually never ate there before but I know they have my favorite.....Monte Cristo sandwich. Or at least I think it is there

Less than 2 months and counting. The trip is coming up so quickly and I can't wait. Don't know what's planned for the meet and greet or the scavenger hunt but my interest has totally been peeked. Now I just have to get through those 2 months and budgets at my work and all will be good.

Well I'm off to PM Beth and Mel with info that they need. Thanks to you two for all that you do. And a big thank you to Bridget for making phone calls and reservations so we can spend some great meals together.

Hey Jodi, I would PM Bridget about the Cafe Orleans reservation. I know she already had a request in for that reservation so I don't know if it's been processed already or not. If it has, one extra probably won't be a big deal, but if everyone from the Fantasmic list suddenly wants to go to that, then adjustments would definitely have to be made.
One option that Capri suggested was the Napa Rose Lounge for drinks and dessert. We did that one year with a couple of us and it was nice.

Also, I still need someone to volunteer to print these out on a wallet sized paper to pass out at the Meet and Greet since I won't be there. OR if you'd rather, we can skip having the wallet sized lists, and I can simply PM the list to everyone ahead of time so you have the option to either print out your own list, or add them to your phone prior to the trip and not even bother with a list.

I need opinions from those of you listed which you prefer. Thank-you.
