Hi, I just wanted to come in here and let you know I will for sure be unable to attend this years DIVA trip.

I just found out yesterday that my mom has breast cancer so I will need my vacation/sick time to be able to go see her.

Today is Glenn's and my 10 year wedding anniversary. He surprised me at work by bringing in a vase of roses! I was so surprised I even teared up which isn't like me in that particular situation. He was very proud of himself as he should be!

I think we are all ready for christmas and we have even done the grocery shopping for the items we will need as we are hosting christmas breakfast and christmas dinner this year! Crazyness! It is so hard to grasp that once christmas is over it will almost be time to go on the trip!

Oh, for all of you who remember Heather that came on the Diva's trip with me about 3 years ago, she has only 7 weeks left in her pregnancy! She is super excited and has found out she is having a girl. I believe she is planning to name her Celine. I am hosting a baby shower for her in about 2 weeks, so that should be fun. She is doing a winnie the pooh room for the baby.

Good Morning Everyone!
I am really trying to figure out how to come for a couple of days. Keep your fingers crossed. I won't be signed up for anything but I am okay with that. I will just fit in where I can
That being said, I will need a place to stay on Thurs and Friday, possibly Sat night. I will check the front but if anyone has room for one more, maybe PM me. I am totally easy, peasy, short shower, ready in 10 minutes all day, all night at the park sort of girl.

I am totally done shopping and so happy about that! Hope you all are making good progress too!

I am so sorry to hear this news about your Mom. Hopefully they can get everything out, and she responds well to her treatments.

We will miss meeting you this year, but rest assured we will be going again. Maybe you can make it to one of the mini-meets that get planned occasionally.

Thank you everyone! We don't know the stage of the cancer yet. My mom will have a PET scan on Saturday and an MRI on Monday. It's just come as such a shock as we have NO family History of any Cancer. I really wish I could be with her through all the tests and everything but she wants me to wait to come till they find out what the treatment will be and when. We have lots of family in the area that will be helping out. It just gets even more tough as my mom runs a home daycare and if she is unable to take care of the kids she will not have any income.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here lately (haven't been on FB very much either). I've been swamped lately with both work and Christmas stuff. But at least it's been fun Christmas stuff like gingerbread house making with the kiddos, get-togethers with friends, my hubby's work Christmas party, Christmas shopping, etc. Between busting out appraisal reports, I've had more holiday fun this year than in a long time.

Except....(sorry, TMI warning)....peri-menopause. It sucks. It's been bad. Especially the night sweats, insomnia, and the forgetfulness. Truly awful. And bonus, Aunt Flo even came two weeks early this month. Merry Christmas to me, huh?

My family follows the Scandinavian tradition of opening gifts Christmas Eve. Almost everyone has arrived here, and a big pot of delicious-smelling stew is simmering on the stove. Yum!

Oh Bridget how fun!! Enjoy your time back there!! Someday I would love to go back east for xmas!! In fact my daughter's birthday is New Year's Eve so our goal is to someday do the whole time's square thing. YES I know it is nuts but I want to be able to say I did it once in my life and she gets kind of bummed having her birthday around the holidays so I want to try and make it special once in awhile. So hopefully someday we can make that a reality!!

Merry Christmas to all you Divas. Hope santa was nice to you. Had a great night last night, that's when we do the presents. The grand kids had a lot of fun. Tristen kept saying nana pesents peas.lol (wrote it as he said it,lol) He couldn't wait to open them.
Most of his where in Handy Manny wrap but when one ended up around Khloe's pressent, he was not happy she was opening it.lol
They both got hand made Mickey and Minnie hats. Khloes is really cute, Tristen's well his face will tell you.lol He did keep it on and liked it but it's a bit big.
