Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

I've got our hotel and 2 meals reserved for mine and DH Dec. trip. We're staying at BW Park Place Inn. Not our 1st choice but I found a great deal. We've stayed there before and it's a great location right across the entrance.
So it's breakfast at CC and dinner at the BBQ. I can't wait ! Does anyone know what days they're making the Candy Canes? Are they really worth the cost?
I'm looking forward to the parade, all the decorations and hopefully meeting up with some Divas. Oh and those Mickey Gingerbread cookies. and the Billy Christmas Show,the snow, and the rides, and the fireworks, and the popcorn, and the ice cream........ well just everything !!!

This week is the first time I have heard about these candy canes. Why are they such the rage? I hate candy canes so I think I will pass unless Tarzan or Jack Sparrow hands them out they are dipped in chocolate.....The canes dipped in chocolate, although Jack or Tarzan dipped in chocolate would also be amazing.

Evening ladies. Sorry I haven't been online in a while. I just switched work sections and am adjusting to the new office. Unfortunately with that comes the possibility of bad news that I just received tonight. There is a chance I won't be able to attend the trip this year. I have to attend a course that is 4 weeks in length. The exact dates are not up yet but it will either be starting the end of January or the end of February. I'll keep you posted.

I just got mine too. We're on the same flight. Should be fun - me, you, Holly (maybe?), Lisa and Patrice are all of the same flight. Any other NorCal Divas heading out of Sac on Thursday? I fly out of Sac at 9:25 am and out of John Wayne at 4:15 pm.

It is exciting. I've been looking at getting them for weeks but the rates just kept changing. I saw that Jen got hers and I thought I just better bite the bullet.

I've been to the Mall of America.
Ruben was less impressed. He said it was just another mall, but bigger.

It is for us! We have lots of malls, Southdale (not far from MOA) was the first enclosed mall in the US. Enclosed malls being very necessary when it's cold and the neighbors are shedding dandruff out the window.

I don't get the tourism draw, we get quite a bit from other countries and closer states (Iowa, Wisconsin). But if they want to bring money here, the more the merrier.

My 15 yo ds is at oral surgery this morning, they tried to pull a tooth two days ago and he could feel EVERYTHING
They put in a bunch of a novacaine, no effect. (not surprised, it doesn't work for me in the molar areas either, only partial coverage) Then they snapped the tooth, leaving behind the roots. Poor kid has been out of school most of this week. He worked on some of his school work, thank goodness for technology! Most of the teachers have assignments and notes available through the school's website.

Gotta do some dishes, if my hands let me.. darn weather changes!

OMG, poor kid. That's awful!! I hate the dentist. I hope he does better than I would.

My best friend is totally up for it! She's checking with her husband to make sure that the dates work (and oh, I guess that I should check with work too...). I'm really, really excited about it. We've been friends for over 25 years, and this will be the first time that we've ever travelled somewhere alone together.
