:cheer2: Woo hoo! :cheer2:

Welcome, Lisa!

But it DOES exist!! I didn't see it the first time but saw it the second time! It is in the "attic" room on your left, way in the back, about mid level and behind a coffin shaped present!!! So yes, I believe now!!!

LOL! I look forward to having a chance to look for it......

Hi Ladies,

I can't believe it's raining outside! Ack! :P I don't like rain at all. I dig the cold weather but not rain. Last night I decided to try out a brand new class and a studio I've never been to. It's for house music. Oh lordy, it was sooo freakin hard!! I wanted to cry at one point because everyone in the class was kicking booty and I could not keep up for the life of me! I felt like I was going to end up with my legs and feet tied in knots like a cartoon character. :scared: The teacher was nice but he NEVER STOPPED moving! He just jumped in the air a lot, kicked his feet behind his legs and out front and it was just insane. He didn't explain anything, it was basically: "Hey, look what I can do! Now do it too!" and mimicking his moves. I ended up walking out after 20 minutes. At least I tried it but dang, house music is hard to dance to if you are thinking of busting out moves like that. I am sticking to my hip hop class. I think I should try to progress and get better at that and focus on that rather than take different versions of dancing.

One girl that works there told me not to feel bad. She's been dancing professionally for years and she took some classes there and could not keep up. She said in one class, she literally walked in with confidence and ended up just standing there staring blankly.

At least I have my original class tonight and I'm excited. It's always really fun and my teacher is awesome. He referred me to this house class so maybe I should tease him tonight when I see him! :teeth: J/k. lol

Count me in! Sounds like fun!

And yes...I started planning this trip when I was pregnant with my first born and he is now 6! I am so excited...I'll need to start packing soon!

SarahMay
Cool. I'll post here and on Facebook once sign ups actually start on Nov. 1.

I can't wait to hear all about your cruise! It's going to be amazing.

I already have a plan and have been buying pieces here and there, but I know how I am. I'm not one for dressing up and once I put all the pieces together if it doesn't look perfect, I'll scrap it :guilty:. Here's to hoping my costume turns out on how I'm envisioning it :thumbsup2.
I am the same way. This was my issue with the MHP cowgirl costume. It's not hard, and yes I have jeans and all that, but to me something looked.... "off" and I didn't feel right in it. But I am still wearing it, and I hope your costume looks great! I'm sure it will.

Hi! Glad to see you here!

Hi Sarah!

Yay for your original class. That other one sounded insane!

Skeletons in the Closet: A Day of the Dead Story at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater.
Gotta love free stuff! Fun free stuff is even better!
That sounds fun. The nearest Day of The Dead festitivies around here is an hour away. They close down part of Sherman Way -in the San Fernando Valley -. All sorts of food and fun. I hope to get to it someday.

!
If they would just keep it in one place I'd see it everytime.

Welcome LisaDog !!! Wow, we have a LisaCat and a LisaDog. Reminds me of the cartoon character.:rotfl:

Yay, another believer!!!!

Now that you all know where she is this year, keep your eyes peeled for her!

You haven't seen scary until you've seen my legs. Think of an elephant's legs, you know, all wrinkly and bumpy, add some varicose veins, and then make them pale white. Oh yes, that's an image no one should actually see in real life. :scared1: Which is why I haven't worn shorts in over 14 years. And this is coming from a person who lives where it's sometimes 112 in the summer!!!

Mine are starting to look like that. And I bet I'm whiter. Most people who say their legs are ghost white still look darker than mine. And the scary thing is, they don't even sunburn below the knee. It's like there's no pigment at all. Snort. I have reached the point in my life where I don't give a rodent's hiney and wear shorts when I want to. That's why people have sunglasses, right?

Right !!!:lmao: I used to think my Mom's legs were scary, now I have inherited them.:scared1:

DL withdrawals stink :sad2: FYI - it's not a drink, but a dessert (I think an apple something or other). I would send one at the end of the month, but it may be smooshed beyond recognition by then????
I think I might still want it.....
Come on, sneak a trip in. It's basically only a long weekend. Just a few little days. It'd be great to have you there!
If only I had a sitter two weekends in a row! That is the only thing holding me back.

I'm not kidding when I say I will be wearing a T Shirt and Jeans to the Meet and Greet. LOL. Or maybe shorts, if it's above 70. That should be plenty scary. LOL

I will wear some type of themed tshirt tho.
I say we all tackle her and put her in costume and full Halloween makeup....

Pieces huh?! Been shopping at Fredricks? :rolleyes1 Schexy!

I officially put the time off request in at work. My principal is a HUGE Disneyland fan. I was trying to work the reason for my request so it sounded important, and not just some little trip. What I ended up writing to make him laugh and sympathize with me was "My annual trip to Disneyland. It is a large ladies (not fat) trip of super fans. I also have a villa at GC for the weekend (pity face)." I was on my knees writing this on the secretary's desk when he walked up and asked what I was doing. I held the paper up to him and the secretary says, "Cmon, she is begging on her knees." I gave him the puppy dog stare and he said, "I will need to think about it over the weekend....I don't get to go." I promised I would bring back some goodies for him. Still waiting on the answer, but I am sure it will be ok to have Thursday and Friday off especially since I haven't missed any work and don't anticipate missing any more.

My DH and I went to look at rings today for my anniversary present. I found my dream ring- it is a 4 1/4 carot blue topaz with a halo of diamonds and a thin band of diamonds. It is so vintage classic; so me. I am really hoping it shows up as my present next week popcorn::

I want to jump up and down and say YES! I'm not the only one! :yay: :lmao:

This year I said screw it, I'm going to be comfy - I bought more shorts, proud to say they are not even bermuda length! or :thumbsup2 ?

Yeah, what is with the no tan, no sunburn past the knee thing? My arms burn within minutes.. short car ride and I'm trying to creatively cover my arms because they are turning bright pink. :headache: But my legs, nope.. you can find me in the dark. Oddly this summer I got tan marks on my feet, with cute little shapes that match the holes in my Disney crocs. Not Mickey head shaped though, just blotchy slightly not so glow in the dark blobs.

Varicose veins, yep got those too. Marching their way around my leg, ahh genetics is a B sometimes.

It was full on summer today, odd seeing a few trees turning colors and wearing shorts - sipping coffee outside at Caribou today. I cranked up the ac and did my apple pie, it was yummy and beautiful.. until I cut it and noticed the cavern inside. The crust stayed up, the apples cooked down.. weird.

I'm so excited about the Christmas exchange :santa: it's fun to think of something creative for someone else to enjoy. :goodvibes

I picked up the first part of the Meet and Greet gift exchange and starting to plan out my "vision". It helps to have a hubby that is creative and has some artistic skill, making sure it doesn't look totally dorky.

Hi Ladies!
I sort of feel like Capri, nothing to say except the usual complaints. I swear I do nothing but drive kids around, fill out paperwork, make appointments and shop, clean and cook. And I am doing it 10 hours a day. Not sure how to fit a job into that, but right now, a job seems like a break! Anyhow, how much is there to say about all that, ya know? I'm totally boring!

I did however write a little report of our last Vegas trip, and I know some of you are headed that way and are Vegas virgins and what not, so maybe something in here would be interesting??

Well, off to another exciting day...
Tracey

Just wanted to say that I added some pictures for you gals:)

Happy Thursday, everyone!! :cool1:

It's cold here right now!! Only in the 50's. Which is good because I've got some cleaning and baking to do for a small Halloween party/get-together that Noelle is having this Saturday. I was going to do it all tomorrow, but yesterday we got Groupon tickets to the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Faire, so we'll be going there as soon as the kids get out of school on Friday.
I'm excited!! :yay: I've never been but I love all the old costumes, and the Celtic music, so I am really looking forward to it.

Tracey, I love your Vegas photos. And I love that you know how to do research, and work the deals to be found here. Good job!! :thumbsup2

Trudi, you should go to the Day of The Dead festivities. They sound fun! :)

Jen, hope you get your time off and your ring! :thumbsup2

Bernice, hope you get some Fall weather soon to go with the apple pie. ;) We are cold here now, but by next week we will be back up to 91. It's so cruel. Mother Nature gives me a taste of Fall, then yanks it away again. :sad2:

Sarah, you've definitely got to go back and look for the monkey bride. And Wendy, I think you need to come and show me in person. :thumbsup2

Um, I can't remember what else I wanted to say.....other than perhaps, have a great day everyone!

The weather changes are nuts!!!

Over the weekend it was in the 80's at DL (which was TOO HOT for me!!)

Then it went to the upper 50's which was super chilly!! I wouldn't have minded the cooler weather but with it came downpours!! Being soaked from thigh down was not fun!!

I may not be able to make it on the DIVA trip after all. I have a spot reserved with Carol at the GCH Villas though so if anyone is interested in staying there PM me and maybe we can work out the change.
