Glad it is the weekend - crazy weather all week. Hot then rain, now cool and sunny! I was ordering my new iPhone yesterday (I'm a MAC geek!) and the man next to me said he heard that they named it 4S to stand for 4 Steve! You know, some how, I believe it!

Hello everyone!!

Only time for a quickie today! I read back and glad to see everyone is doing well and having a good weekend so far!

We had a blast at the Ren Faire last night. Listened to awesome music, saw great costumes, and chowed down on giant turkey legs, and roasted corn on the cob. I wish I could go all three days, but today is Noelle's party so we are getting ready for that.

I started making fabric rosettes, me.. you know.. the person who lacks creative skill. And dang if they don't look cute cute cute!

I only managed to make four before my fingers became numb and a bit cramped. Now I'm picking fabric tac off my fingers while I take a break.

sniff.. sniff.. what is that?? sniff..... ohhhhh not good, we had broccoli in our alfredo, now the apartment has that smell. I have an aversion to smells, ick.

Just stopping by to wave hello! Noelle's party was a blast last night. Those wacky girls stayed up all night! Around 4 a.m. they went outside with hot cocoa and blankets to watch the sunrise, ended up falling asleep on the grass, only to be awoken by the sprinklers! They ran inside and passed out on the floor in various positions and slept in until after noon.
Ah, youth!!

Been busy sewing and baby-sitting. Almost done with SarahMay's fish extender. It always takes longer, when I have to figure out what the heck I'm doing. Ha ha. Don't worry Sarah, I think I have it down now.

Beth, Man, do I remember those days. Up to the wee hours of the morning, with a bunch of wild tweens and teens. Dave and I used to dread those parties, but it is a girl's right of life. LOL!

So Dave was going to be Zorro, but the kids have voted that he needs to be Grumpy to go with Snow White. So now, I need to sew something up for him too. Where does it all end? My next step is to find a hat pattern off the internet for Grumpy. If anyone sees one, please let me know.

My DH and I went to look at rings today for my anniversary present. I found my dream ring- it is a 4 1/4 carot blue topaz with a halo of diamonds and a thin band of diamonds. It is so vintage classic; so me. I am really hoping it shows up as my present next week

Well, I finally had a full day in my house! I even made dinner! I got quite a bit done and my husband got rid of enough cardboard that I can actually park in my garage! Woo Hoo! Only been waiting for that moment for 6 1/2 years! The house is starting to feel more like home but we need to get the pictures up on the walls. I was going to do it, but I think I will wait for my aunt. She is an interior designer and has such a good eye for this kind of thing!

I have the day off today so I am going to see a movie with my mom and grandma and I will be shopping for a few things for the house and some christmas presents. I like spreading it out over a few months so I am not quite so poor all at once! I am behind this year what with the move and all, but my dh has purchased my BIL's gift...lightsaber chop sticks! He's going to love them!

Where on earth did your husband find light saber chopsticks? That is a very unusual gift.

Mel, as always I am in awe of your superwoman powers. I greatly admire anyone that can sew - I can put things together with a hot glue gun (and really what can't be constructed with a hot glue gun?) but I am at a loss when it comes to actually sewing something.

I have the day off today so I am going to see a movie with my mom and grandma and I will be shopping for a few things for the house and some christmas presents.

Hi Ladies,

Are any of you attending the AP soundsational parade on Wednesday? A friend of mine invited me so I am leaving work early. I am not even sure what it is but I think it will be really fun.

Yesterday I danced next to RuPaul in my hip hop class! It was kinda cool but I was afraid of bumping into him because this girl to my right was standing too close to me! Last Friday I drove down to Hollywood and was trying to get to a dance studio to try out a hip hop class there. I ended up getting a speeding ticket for going 78mph. I also found out that Incubus was playing nearby the studio I was headed to, so the traffic was backed up like crazy. I ended up missing the class. Since I was down there I thought...hmm...Disney Soda Fountain or try a different class. I chose a different class to try out (it was free). It was a hip hop/crunk class. It was hard because it's so fast paced but I could only do some of the steps/moves. The teacher was really cool though and such a nice guy. He's European and has a cool accent. I might try his class again, just for fun. Hope you all have a good day!

Fly by HI! It's been raining pretty much all day here. I went to the grocery store and ran by Michael's and now I'm back in my warm, dry house, munching on my fave potato chips EVAH - Lays Kettle Cooked Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper. YUM.

Hi, hi! I should have a little more time to drop in and keep up with everything now. Well, I hope so at least. Having my kitty home safe and sound is making life much easier to deal with.

Poor thing is pretty much skin and bones (plus a lot of fur). She was so dirty I just ahd to give her a bath and compared to the last time I did that, she's so tiny and I feel so bad for her. But at least she's home where there's no rain (well, minus the bath water), it's warm, and there's lots of food. I just don't want her to hate mt oo much, lol.

Thanks! We had dinner at my Mom's last night with the whole family. We met my 18 yr old brothers new girl "friend" and spent time with my sister who hopefully will have her baby this week. I can't wait to have a new baby in the family. I've been trying to purge our house a little and it's so hard to get rid of all my baby stuff.

Having my kitty home safe and sound is making life much easier to deal with.

Jessica, I'm happy to hear that your kitty made it home! We weren't so lucky with ours last month.
