Good afternoon, ladies!! Wow, this weekend is going by fast!! Then again, they always do, don't they?

Good morning everyone. I am sorry it has been so long since I have been on here. The past 4-6 weeks has been crazy. We put our house on the market, sold it, signed papers, put an offer on another house which has been accepted, had to get all the paperwork together to get financing and now we are in the home stretch and should be signing papers on the house we are buying by the end of the month. We are busy packing up all our things which is a pain. We bought some new furniture for the new house but it had to be delivered to our current house so we are squashed in around it. Crazyness.

Also, our disney cruise on the dream and 6 night WDW trip is less than 7 weeks away...so much is happening in that time that I am sure it will fly by.

I booked Glenn's and my 10 year anniversary "get a way". We got married three days before christmas and are going on the cruise a month and a half before our 10 year anniversary but I still wanted to do something specifically in honor of those 10 years so we are taking the snow train across the mountains to Leavenworth. I guess they do breakfast and have all kinds of entertainment and carolers and things then we get to hang out in Leavenworth (a Bavarian town) and see the tree lighting and then we get dinner and more entertainment on the train back! You have been busy! Gosh, just reading that makes me tired. I don't know how you do it. Moving is stressful but also a fun adventure. Glad it's all working out for you guys.

The cruise sounds amazing, and the snow train sounds really neat! I would love to do something like that. Take lots of pics to share, 'kay?

Wow, so I started reading through the first page and looking at pics and everything and I started getting teary eyed. I miss you all so much. You truely are such amazing people, such amazing friends and I feel blessed to have you all in my life!

Yesterday was brief sprinkles and light showers, then turned to a good solid rain overnight. Currently 59F...

I've still got my A/C on. I do love the desert scenery and mountains, and I love all the fun things Vegas has to offer, but man do I hate the heat!!!!

Daughter and her family spent 4days/3 nights at Leavenworth last year. They got home 3 days before Christmas eve. They had a wonderful time and want to go back this Dec. Snowed every day so the kids had a fun time playing in the snow. There are so many little shops to look through. The town looks like Germany near the Black Forest region. Sister -in -law grew up in Germany -did not come to states until she was 29 and thought Leavenworth looked so much like her home. Have a great time. I hope you will share some pictures of the trip. I have been there in summer to see the wonderful out door plays, but never in winter .

Will also be looking for Cruise pictures . Grats on selling and buying homes. That was so fast I was amazed. So unlike here-- takes a few months to sell homes here.

Yeah Sarah that is so amazing to hear about you selling and buying and moving so fast! Houses around here are always on the market for over a year and then sometimes people just give up. I would like to move one of these days but am thinking it will be a few years down the road. Between the mortgage and equity line of credit and lowered value we don't have a dime of equity.

I've been to Leavenworth in the spring and think it would be great to go at Christmastime. The snow train sounds fun! Good idea, you will need a nice getaway after moving and the big family vacation. I am glad I will get to see you at WDW in November! I am hoping to do a ship inspection of the Dream the day you disembark if I can get my CLIA card in time.

Great weekend. I spent the weekend bead shop hopping (buying lots of beads to make new jewelry). Southern CA bead stores put this on every year You visit certain store get freebies and a chance to win prizes from the stores.
Also got lots of freebies. every store I got a charm for a charm bracelet and some of the stores I got free beads.
Today I was visiting my last store in julian. (a nice place to visit when in San Diego an hour east of san diego in the mountains) I had yummy apple pie with cinnamon ice cream.

On the drive home there was a kmart. Someone on the halloween exchange board said Kmart has disney halloween items so I stopped by. (we have no kmarts close by) There was a variety of cute disney halloween items and they were all on sale.

I have been reading along - just lurking, but I have cool news to share. I get to go to Disneyland in less than 2 weeks! I am going to a nursing class in Anaheim, I am bring my kiddos, and my mom is going to meet me there to take the kids to DL when I am going to the class. We will have 2 days in DL before the class and the evening after the class. I can't wait. However, I just got a message from my mom saying that she has a job interview tomorrow. If she gets the job - she can't go. She has been looking for a job for a while now. I guess all it takes to get a job is making plans to see grandbabies! I haven't seen my mom in about a year and a half. I am kind of torn- I want her to get a job, but I want to see her too!

Has anyone been to the DL Halloween party? Is it worth it?

Also, I saw a post about the Christmas parade in DL. Does anyone know how that works? In WDW you can get free tickets to the park on the day of taping. Does it work like that for DL? It looks like we might be there for the taping in Nov. It has been a silly dream of mine to go to a Christmas taping. I have been close several times in WDW - but never achieved it. Any hints?

I live way down on I-5 about 45 mins north of Portland. We actually live about 2 miles from the Columbia River. Years and Years ago I lived in Everett --well Lake Stevens actually. Some of the best years of my life .

Oh, what a dilemma! I hope it all works out. Would be nice if she could get the job, and still take a few days to spend with you at DL. Can she just let them know she's had this trip planned and say it's nonrefundable or something?

I haven't been to the Halloween party since it moved from California Adventure to Disneyland, but I've heard good things about it. I just love Halloweentime at DL!
