Hi ladies. I wanted to share something here now since I can't do it on FB. I am going to AZ for the weekend. I so can't wait. My BFF has a baby shower to attend and wants me to come with to keep her company. I can't post on FB as well I am suppose to be at work Sat. but I feel a cold coming on. Cough Cough.:rolleyes1 So remember shhhhhh.

Not much going on around here. Had some internet issues from Sunday to Monday night. Geesh

Wish I was going in Oct. with the ladies who are lucky enough to go. I keep telling my DH we need a little vacation. He needs a reg. job first. Construction is so bad here. Side jobs just aren't enough for me and the things I want to do.:sad2:
Have fun at the baby shower in AZ! Stay cool. I've heard they are even hotter over there right now. Hard to imagine with this high heat. Take care of that cough by the way. ;)

Oh, and yes, construction is pretty slow here unfortunately. :sad2:
We'll have to plan a local get together with you, me and Jane once school is started and things have settled back into a routine for us all.

:wave2:

Been busy with work and running, but I'm always following along!

Hey Jess!! :yay:

Hello Ladies! Just wanted to say HI!:wave2:

I had such a great time at the D23 Expo. But it was soooo much waiting in line. Every day.

Are we still planning a character breakfast Sunday? I will be too stuffed from that for lunch. But maybe something light later in the afternoon? Whatever the group decides is fine by me. :) WWS is great for a big group and it's never crowded. :thumbsup2
I'm glad you had fun at the expo. I heard there were long lines, but for what exactly? To get into the seminars?
I saw something online that said on the first day, some people were in line as early as 2 a.m.!!! For what though wasn't clear.

Yes, we are still planning a character meal. And you're right, those still there will probably be full from that. I think a later lunch/early dinner would work well. It could even still be WWS, and then since drinks at Trader Sam's were on tap for that night, you could walk from one place to the other.

:thumbsup2 WOW,so great plan,if possible,i would follow you with my whole family,i think it will be a big group party, just enjoy our happy time!:banana:
Hello there. Are you saying you'll be there the same time with your family? If so, have a great time. This trip is for ladies only, no men, or kids, but if you see a big group of wild woman having a great time, feel free to say hello!!! :)

Good Morning!
I love those nachos from WWS. Yum. I like to get half beef and half chicken, all the condiments on the side. I have picked them up and eaten them poolside, which is great because they are messy, messy!

We have started soccer practice here. I was a bad Mom and failed to register my son last May. When he started asking me when soccer was starting, I finally went to register him and found out that I had missed the boat. When I called to ask about late placement, they informed me that registration was closed, but they had a team with no coach, and they would always make room on a team for a coaches kid. Guess who is coaching soccer??? Yep! It has been fun, but it was 80 on our first day and I thought I was going to have a heat stroke!

Which brings me to my next comment. I leave for Vegas on Monday and I am wondering what the heck I was thinking? Did I really see that it was 110 degrees??? That is insane! I see some cold drinks and plenty of pool time on my agenda!

And lastly, some of you may have heard me talking about my frustrations around trying to help my 8 year old with reading. He has been pulled out for extra instruction since kindergarten, and yet he is still a year behind. School test scores indicate that cognitively, he is almost at the gifted level. Private testing indicates that he is at the gifted level. Yet he can't read?? Was referred for developmental vision evaluation and we had that done last week. Well, 5 minutes after we arrived, found out he has double vision, tracking and a few other vision issues. We had a exam two years ago and the acuity is still the same 20/20 vision. But who knew there was more to it??? I wish I would have known in Kindergarten instead of 3rd grade. Completly fixable by the way, with 6-12 months of vision therapy. I can't tell you how relieved I am.

Wondering if we have heard any news about Vicki?? I hope she is doing better.

Hope you all have wonderful day!

Tracey

Congrats on placing. I love Sublime and Rome. Sounds like great fun.

Jack

Thanks!

After months of not getting mailings or e-mails from Caesar's Palace, I got home from school last night and had a e-mail from them with promo room rates for their entire chain. It has to be a sign!

VEGAS! VEGAS! VEGAS!

I'm thinking the first weekend in December sounds like a good time to go...:rolleyes1

I'm going to be an Aunt!!!

My sister and her fiancé are going to have a baby!

I’m so excited for them and can’t wait to start shopping for baby stuff.

So you know what this means…you can start calling my mom grandma! ;) :rotfl2:

Exciting news Sarah and Trudi!

Happy day off Jess!

Since I have quit working, I have offered to babysit my grandson 2 days a week so he can be "eased in" to daycare (only having to go 2 days a week for now) since my son-in-law found a job working for a TV production company filming a new series here in Portland. And I am taking a tax class 2 days a week for (Laurie, don't look).......

......H&R Block. If I don't have a job by the end of the year I may work for them as a tax preparer or office manager for the season.

Most importantly, I have been invited and decided to join Daisy, Stacie, Vicki, Linda, Cheryl, and Sarah at WDW in November! :dance3: I haven't told DH yet, but I DID tell him a few months ago that I was going to try to find an inexpenseve way out there for my travel business research, and I DID tell him about this opportunity and that I MIGHT go. So I just need to find the right moment to tell him that I purchased my airfare.

Now I need to go get my homework done, take DH's car in for an oil change, go grocery shopping, and go to class. So much for "time off from work"!

Good morning, ladies!! :) One step closer to the weekend.

LOL Ah, the things we do for our kids!

We broke records the other day, but I think it is supposed to cool down. I hope I get to see you when you are here! That's the week the kids start school so we'll see how things go. Sometimes it's hard when I have friends come here for vacation, but I still have "real life" to contend with. Darn that real life. lol

Oh wow, I am glad to hear they've pinpointed the issue and will be able to correct it. What a relief for you both!
My replies are in red...

Happy Thursday ladies!!
Back at ya! :)

It's beautiful, Sarah. Great work!

:lmao: She's gonna love that. lol Congrats to everyone!

:scared1: Say it ain't so!!!! :rotfl: It will be nice to have someone intelligent working there.......lol :rolleyes1

Very exciting.....lucky ladies!!!! :yay:

Yes it's true !! I'm going to be a Grandma. It's still sinking in.
I've know since the 11th but I was sworn to secrecy until Nicole and Bill could tell as many of the relatives in person. My Mom didn't find out until Sunday. They are not going to find out if it's a girl or boy, at least that what they said. Who knows though as time goes on.

Aw! Congrats to them and you two as well. Very exciting news.

I'm about to have lunch with Paula today! We finally got to reschedule a couple months later, lol. I've also got to take in my recycling today for a tiny bit of extra $ before I take all the money I've been saving in my piggy bank (it's fun for me) to my credit union. I'm oh so close to having an extra $200 in spending money.

Have fun with Paula!!!! Great job on saving those pennies!! :woohoo:

How bad is a root canal? I'm sitting in the dentist chair freaking out. I've never had one. I don't even like to get my teeth cleaned because it hurts. :guilty:

I knew that would be suggested.....:rotfl:
Well, that's because, let's face it, it works. :lmao:

They are not going to find out if it's a girl or boy, at least that what they said. Who knows though as time goes on.
I didn't find out with my first two and there is something to be said for that moment in the delivery room when the doctor announces "It's a girl" or "It's a boy" and you are just so overwhelmed with everything. It's fun!
Of course, with the twins we had so many tests and ultrasounds, we knew for sure it was two girls and that was fun, too. Either way, it's so exciting and I am happy for you all!!

Fun! Where are you eating?

 Deep breaths. It will be fine. I've had two and they weren't as bad as you think. Keep your eyes closed, listen to headphones if they let you, and mentally take a trip through each land in Disney. That will keep you occupied. It will be over before you know it. Just don't try to eat a Big Mac before the numbness wears off.....it's not a good idea. Trust me. :rolleyes1 (hey, I was hungry!! lol)

Hey ladies! I've missed you all. I moved back to Florida 2 months ago, and have been adjusting. Greg is finishing his degree in Utah, and will be moving out here in January. I am 85% sure I will be coming on the trip in February... But in the meantime, if anyone wants to meetup at WDW, drop me a line. I have a few CM friends so we could get you admission and have breakfast and then split up. The comp passes work like 1 day hopper passes once activated. Just something to think about if anyone is trying to budget a solo trip...

Now I need to catch up on this board.... I am WAY behind.

Oh wow, you moved back. Which part of FL? Good luck to you and Greg as you work on getting settled over the next few months. And glad to hear you're still planning to attend the trip in Feb. :)

Oh, and how sweet of you to offer to help with admission in WDW. I wish I could go back there but plans for that probably won't happen for a long, long time. :sad2:

Remember what I told you, keep asking for more novacaine!
That, too. :thumbsup2

Hey there--we were just wondering about you while we were at D23. Good to hear from you!
