So this morning I am being bad and avoiding doing my "chores". :rolleyes1 I've got things to do, and yet.....here I am, seriously toying with the idea of starting a pre-trip report for my October birthday/Halloween trip.

I should get up and do laundry. But instead I feel like going and talking about Halloween! Hmmmm, what to do, what to do...... lol

Hello Everyone !

Since it now appears that Carnation Cafe will be closed during our trip, we need to find something to replace it with for Sunday's lunch.
I actually will be gone already, as I plan to leave Sunday a.m., so I don't feel like I should have much say in it.

Ummm....I have no idea :upsidedow. I know most people are leaving on Sunday so it would be nice to have a sit down meal, but there aren't too many choices in the parks.

I'm no help....why did I even bother to post .

Hi Katie! How are you feeling? I have been thinking about you so much. I hope you will be making our get together in a couple of weeks! :goodvibes:

I'm still trucking along :thumbsup2. I'm counting down the days until the end of September, because that's when I will get the all clear (or not).

Actually it was my husband, and he got third in the bench press and second in the dead lift.

VICKI UPDATE:

I just got a text from Vicki's mom that said:
"She is much better today but has started realizing something has happened. She will probably be in ICU a couple more days."

I am going to try to go down to visit her this week and I am replying to the text with your prayers and good thoughts. I will keep you updated as I am updated.

SarahMay

Good for your muscle man

!!!

And thanks for the Vicki update. She continues to be in my prayers and I hope she is progressing forward :wizard:.

With the mass exodus happening on Sunday, how about Tangaroa Terrace or Mimi's. That way, if the ladies leaving Sunday don't have a PH or AP, they can still join in on one last meal?

Last Saturday, the 13th, my friend Levi (who is one of my fellow staffers in high school ministry at church), his 4 month old son died of SIDS. This past week in addition to school prep, was filled with reaching out to him and his wife and attending a memorial last night for their baby. It has been truly heartbreaking, and our students were so devestated to not only be hurting alongside Levi, but to have him exit the ministry as well as he takes the time to mourn his son. It makes me want to cling to my own sons more.

OMGosh!! How terribly awful :sad1::sad1:. I can't imagine loosing one of my kids especially so young. They will definitely be in my prayers that they will get through his rough time.

BTW~ Good luck on your upcoming school year :wizard:.

Just wanted to drop in and give everyone a big hug!

LOL Well, I decided to get busy and do my housework, and actually be productive. Not fun at all. But who knows.....it's been awhile since I've done a TR so I might still join you in report land.

:rotfl2: To tell me you have no idea. :thumbsup2

Tangoroa Terrace sounds good. It doesn't matter to me, but hopefully some of those who are staying through Sunday will actually pop in and share their thoughts. So we'll wait and see what more people have to say.

:goodvibes Thank-you!! I love a good hug.

Just stopped by to say hello. Hope everyone is doing well. Just got back from San Francisco last night and first day back to work for me today (so I am just a little tired).

We had a great trip. My son wasn't too much of a pain (he was actually being nice and getting along with his sister-so no fighting yeah) My daughter is settled in her dorm. Her first class is tomorrow. I didn't get to emotional until I got her facebook message last night when I got home and she said she already missed me. But I know it is going to be a great year for her.

I have a week of training and then one week to get classroom together (which wouldn't be too bad but my director thinks we have all new furniture to set up which is exciting and a bit overwhelming thinking I only have a week to get everything done)

Don't know how far I have to go back but probably after I make myself something to eat (If i am not too tired) I will see where I left off. If I don't make it back online Have a great week

2 days in a row...amazing! lol Just running in to say hello real quick. The first day went well. Technically tomorrow is the first day for my ASL 1 class, but most of those kids are in my English class so it should run smoothly. Have a great weekend and thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my first day and Levi's son.

Hi there! I will adjust that now, thanks for letting me know. Sooooo, which do you usually prefer? Patrice or Trish?
Also if you get the chance, post a pic and I'll add that to the front as well. :)

Finally got the picture up. I will answer to either Trish or Patrice, but I think most of you met me as Trish so let's go with that.

I've seen that picture somewhere....... :thumbsup2

What are these "chores" of which you speak? Actually, I got a load of laundry done today before the toilet in our hall bathroom basically imploded. It wouldn't stop running, so I had to shut it off at the "faucet". Checked inside the tank. Nothing blocking the flapper. Ugh. May I just say that this is hubby's toilet? So now we are "sharing"? ACK! (the key to a happy marriage in this house is SEPARATE BATHROOMS). So I spent today pricing new toilets and getting a couple plumbers to come out and give an install estimate. Whee. NOT.

I will most likely be on a 3 day PH that weekend. My AP expires on Halloween and at this point, I don't think I'm going to get to renew it for next year. So any place for lunch outside the park gates works for me! LOL

I was in Sam's Club yesterday and saw some Halloween themed snacks and treats and got so excited. :rotfl2: Yes, I am a total dork. ;)

Rats, I don't have a Sam's card !

How about Pizza Port for Sun. lunch? I don't recall any meals there on past trips.

:hug::hug::hug::hug:  lots of hugs to all who need them.

Aww. That would do me in, too.

The first day went well.
 :thumbsup2

Okay, well, when it comes to dining out of the parks, what about White Water snacks? Their prices are reasonable, and their nachos are really good!

Or La Brea Bakery cafe? I've never eaten there, but the menu seems to offer a wide variety.

I was trying to pick places that were fairly cheap thinking that by Sunday most people might be broke!! :lmao:

Any other suggestions?

We ate there on the 2010 trip. Just a few of us; myself, SarahMay, Linda, Shirley, and a few others that I can't recall now. I love it there!!! The chicken pasta is sooooo good, so I think that's a great idea.
But if there are a few who will still be there, but won't have access to the parks, maybe something in DTD would be more accommodating for everyone. :confused3

You had me at "nachos".... LOL Never eaten at either of those places. Lunch at DL for me is usually a CORN DOG. Mmmmmmm..... tomorrow I get a Disneyland Corn Dog...... Mmmmmmmm......

My boarding pass is printed and my alarm is set for 4:30 AM tomorrow! Wheeee!
